As the world’s economic crisis deepens and inequality tears the very fabric of society the discontentment of the masses manifests itself in violent public disturbances and civil disorder.

RIOT – Civil Unrest is the highly anticipated real-time riot simulator that places the player right in the heart of some of the world’s most fractious clashes. Campaigns include: Indignados (Spain), Arab Spring (Egypt), Keratea (Greece) and NoTAV (Italy). Seventeen single level scenarios include Rome, Oakland, Paris, London and Ukraine.

RIOT – Civil Unrest’s creator, Leonard Menchiari, experienced rioting first-hand at the NoTAV protests in Italy. He created the game to tell the stories and express the feelings experienced during these clashes. What triggers the crowd to behave with such anger and aggression? Often outnumbered, what does a police officer feel like during the conflict? RIOT – Civil Unrest presents the player with the opportunity to experience both sides of the fight - a fight in which there really are no winners. Who is right and who is wrong? Experience RIOT – Civil Unrest and draw your own conclusions.

…and after redeeming the game in Steam, go back to https://www.fanatical.com/en/account/contact to unsubscribe…

      • Noticed after there was a "confirm subscription" email which is probably why (though might have come after enabling in account settings)

        • It's the confirm account email. You need to confirm before you can subscribe to the newsletter.

  • Thanks OP. Worked fine for me. It appears the issues some experienced earlier have been resolved.

I think I’ll pass on this one. I’m being more selective lately instead of bloating my library. Between past Steam sales, weekly Epic giveaways, and Games with Prime, I’ve got more games better than this that I can play in my lifetime.

What a world we live in. An abundance for gamers haha

      • I know right. What a time to be alive

But… but… but… I thought collecting games I'll never play was THE real game now.

How will I level up if I never reach a 1,000+ games!!!

If you have Prime, you can get a code from Prime Gaming for a DRM-free copy of the game on GOG if you prefer that

I backed this game on Indiegogo years ago but never got a key, so I had to e-mail the publisher about it and while it wasn't their responsibility, they did offer a steam key for me.

Still haven't played it though since that lack of communication from the developers left a sour taste in the mouth.

This might be the new training program for the impending uprising.
Hopefully there's a level that is a shareholder/billionaires' meeting in New York
