on my 5th pair, and still facing issues. yes they have a great service team, but incomplete great product.

hissing sound on my left is still there, random restarts with popping sound, sometimes i have a restart mid phone calls. with and without bose app. on software 4.20 the latest.

    the pros of this one:
    -EXCELLENT ANC.
    -EXCELLENT SOUND.
-VERY GOOD IMMERSIVE, beautiful during pod casts and listening to debates or news.
-EXCELLENT BATTERY. even though sometimes i have my right earbud drains more battery than left one.

    Cons:
    -Random disconnections.
    -Poor software.
    -Hissing sound on left earbud.
-battery drain on right earbud sometimes.
-Popping sound sometimes, happens at least once a day.
-incomplete multipoint system, works most of the time but having some bugs.

i am on my 5th pair now in about 10months, in february i'll be out of warranty, and i guarantee i'll be on my 6th pair in a month from now. all my pairs having exact same issues.

Bose really need to change the QC to mean Quality Control.

I'd love to buy these, but after multiple reports like this and similar issues I had with the Earbuds II; I just can't roll the dice on a $300+ set of earbuds.

        you mean QF, Quality Fail.

however, honestly quality is good but software is rubbish. its all in the software!!

    • Additional issue just remembered, sometimes when we put back the buds to the case, they start charging but remain connected to the phone. and then they overheat so much when picked up again. they won't disconnect and will have to take em off multiple times until they finally disconnect.

    • Hissing sound on left earbud

Also on my fourth pair because of this.

I'm convinced that this a common fault due to the design of the earbud itself.
Right now I'm contemplating if I should keep sending it back in hope of getting lucky or just deal with it.

But the ANC and fit is so good for me it's hard to give up.

      • its a waste of time to keep replacing them for only the hissing soung, wait for other issues or if you'd like to change colours. but either way, this will definitely be gone with a software update just like QC2, it had same issue fixed with a very late software update, but didnt solve connections issues :D

  • Does JB do a refund on the difference of the sale price if i bought for $360 a month ago?

Or will i have to do a refund and then repurchase

    • +1

refund the difference within 2 weeks.

  • Do these earbuds have good call quality?

    • Very bad. It picked up your background noise.

    • after last update, if you are in quiet to normal busy places they work amazing and one of best, if you are outdoor or in a busy area, they are BAAD.
