    Yeah they are, I've had a pair in the past from big W or K-mart, not sure, but they're way more comfortable than regular haviana type rubber thongs.

    The 80s ones were good, you'd leave the regular thonged for dead, when rock hopping up a gorge.
    You could walkover loose sand with ease.
    Sandals of course weren't cool back then but by the 90s regard for cool was replaced by couldn't give a fkness and practicality won.

  The Havaianas at KMart and Aldi are Asian knockoffs and nowhere near the real ones from Brazil.
