BMW Duplicate Key Recommendations in Brisbane?

Looking for reliable locksmith in Brisbane that can duplicate a 2018 BMW 320i remote key.

I still have an original.

Unfortunately, I used a locksmith in Sydney for another car, paid $200 to get new remote key. Found out later he did not cut properly which damaged the pins in the key slot in my other car (resulting in $1100 in total to get it towed twice under different roadside assistance plans, get locksmith to come disassemble the whole steering wheel to get the key mechanism out including drilling, recut original key and fixed duplicate key)

Any recommendations?

Otherwise, will just stay with BMW dealer to stay safe at $777

  • Any recommends?

Yes. I recommend you stop loosing losing your keys. Airtags are cheaper than locksmiths.

      Lost keys cost cents… Cheers!

  • There are no quick or cheap wins here. Go through the dealer.

with out knowing the year and model then I'd say "yes".

  • Could you share more info about the car? Depending on where the CAS is located, it might be easy to get it done by a locksmith, otherwise for peace of mind just pay the dealership tax and get it done properly.

What does the dealer want to charge? Prices do vary between dealers (although usually not by a huge amount)

  • I've used Tapsy for a VW key, not cheap but less than dealership pricing

      Condolences

  • I used a mobile locksmith in Algester recently, found him through Marketplace. Worked out well. From memory it was $70 for a spare key without remote for a corolla.
Key with remote would have been $140.

    • Do you have their business name details to share?
