Terms and Conditions

    Yeah, I just dumped krisflyer to velocity at 1.5 to 1 because they are expiring next month. You also need to transfer a minimum of 5000 at a time, but the transfer is instantaneous so you could leave it until the last minute to max out the expiry on the virgin end.

  Just an FYI Krisflyer points expire after 36 months and can't be renewed. So have this in the back of your mind.

    They can be renewed, but it's not free - you can extend for 6 months at cost in cash or points (no status) or 12m as KF Silver or Gold (no difference in price - 1,200 SQ miles or US$12 per 10,000 or part of to be extended).

  Better than nothing but it's usually better to wait for Velocity transfer to extract more value, given that CBA to KrisFlyer is 3:1, whereas CBA to velocity is 2:1.

  Interestingly this offer has vanished from CBA’s website. The T&Cs didn’t mention anything about finishing early and it’s still on the KrisFlyer website. I’ve just sent the rest of my CBA points over, so will see.

  I have screenshots of both websites’ T&Cs if anyone needs them, but would recommend taking one of the KrisFlyer site T&Cs before initiating now.

      No worries, will send you the one from the SQ site, I seem to have lost the one from CBA's site, but this is the exact wording (posted it in AFF word for word on 11 December):

      "CBA:
      Bonus 15% KrisFlyer Miles
      1. This promotion is valid only for points transfer to participating program partners from 00:00am AEDT on 28 November 2024 to 23:59pm AEDT on 19 December 2024,
      2. During the promotion period, members transferring to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer will receive a 15% bonus over the points accrued on the member’s account as a product of the transfer.
      3. You must be enrolled as a member of Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer in order to participate in this promotion.
      4. The bonus miles/points and the transferred miles/points may be reflected in the account statement in two different transactions.
      5. Bonus miles/points will be awarded at the time of transfer together with the original transferred miles/points, according to the standard transfer lead times.
      6. Once the transfer request is initiated, it cannot be reversed.
      7. This offer is subject to the Terms & Conditions of the CommBank Awards program, available here.

    It would have been when you posted, end time/date was 23:59 AEST on 19/12/2024 (interesting since CBA's HQ is in Sydney, which is currently on AEDT - so technically it would have been 00:59 on 20/12/2024 in VIC/NSW/TAS, but try arguing that one if they knock it back on that basis!).
