    Well for starters you can more easily/quickly replace a dead drive with a new one (and have the ability to pick the best drive you use for it), unlike gambling with unknown drive specs when buying a bundled portable hard drive.
    Not to mention you can swap drives out once the first one is full- think of it as an extended USB port / large SD card reader xd

    It’s handy if you’ve got any 2.5” hard drives/ssds, such as from an old laptop, or from AliExpress deals (I have a few). It’s also useful if your laptop dies, to reuse/recover from its’ drive.

      I’ve bought a couple of these before, but not from this store. Perhaps it’s a coded message meaning it’s out of stock, or no more stock at that price (US$2.95-3.45). Instead I bought this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005946461929.html for US$2.59
