Can anyone confirm that BOQ ATMs are still fee free for cash withdrawals. It was a few weeks ago at Cannon Hill shopping centre but things may have changed. How can I find this out quickly next time?

Thanks I know all the big four do fee free withdrawals.
however boq was only 150m away from the restaurant which had a surcharge for credit card thus the need for cash.
BOQ is if you have a BOQ card, yes.
According to Finder as at September 2024 Australian bank ATM fees and charges, partnerships and alliances
Withdrawal fee for other Australian bank cards
$2.00
Thanks for the link.
Though, that's wrong. I withdrew tonight using an ing card and there was no fee.
Still might be a fee, just that ING may rebate it.
If there was a fee the atm is supposed to warn you.
Besides I haven't activated the features on ing for rebate: no monthly $1000 deposit from an external bank nor five card transactions per month.
I haven't activated the features for several months actually.
OP …
You are not exactly clear in what you write. Please clearly state …
1.) ATMs - BOQ ???
2.) Which bank / card you are using. As sort-of suggested above … Some banks (ING) - have rules … EG. # of transactions in a month - to then get "fee free" on ANY ATM.
Details/Specifics matter
Sorry I was in a rush, and thus wasn't as clear as requested.
But to answer your details for other's future reference.
1.) ATMs - BOQ ???
All BOQ ATMs, but specifically for my question those in branches but accessible to the public 24/7.
2.) Which bank / card you are using.
I'm using other financial institutions (OFI) card.
BOQ ATMs are only free if they are attached to a branch. If it’s a standalone machine it costs $2.
Thank you for providing the answer I requested. Since I didn't describe my request clearly enough I also thank others for helping future customers on how best to use ATMs.
Banks remove fees from ATMs for ‘good bloke’ factor.
Banks no longer make exorbitant profit on people withdrawing cash.
Banks realise ATMs are expensive to maintain and stock.
Banks remove and sell ATMs to other third-party companies increase bottom line.
Third-party ATMs now charge more than banks to withdraw cash. It’s really another classic Australian fairytale in how the customer gets screwed in the end.
In answer to your actual question. Any ATM in Australia by law must display the fees during use prior to confirming an option m, so just bounce through and if it says you gotta pay hit that cancel button like the OzB community would expect of you.
Westpac always works for me fee free
