      Based on the Digital Foundry analysis, performance was never really that much of an issue, unless you just stopped reading at the headline.

      Sure, Bayonetta 3 struggled at ever hitting the 60fps target. But it still stayed above 30fps even when there's a ton of alpha effects on the screen at once, so entirely playable.

      If anything, they should have just capped it at 30fps for a more consistent experience. Then again, leaving it at a 60fps cap means that as soon as stronger hardware is available, the game could take advantage of it without any further patching.

        Physical. I believe the only game code we ever got for Bayonetta in Aus was for Bayonetta 2+1.

        Newest one, Mortal Kombat 1. The DLC and expansions eventually go on sale digitally so $15 for the base game is alright.

          Why? 9 months of the year its dead quiet. If eb doesn't pull sales like this, it might mean the end of brick and motar stores.

          about 10-15 years ago, you could walk into your usual westifield and have kmart/target/dicksmith/toyrus/myer/bigw/goodguys/harveynorman and jbhifi all selling physical games.
          It's pretty much down 2-3 stores with a decent range in your usual plaza.

      Local store said head office told them stores would get maximum 40 orders.
      The staff looked demoralised and overwhelmed.
      My local said they had at least 120 when they arrived this morning.
      And they were told not to put on extra staff today because it wouldn't be bad at all…
      And the deals keep coming 😅

      I ordered Advance Wars around midnight and got the confirmation email to pick up around 8:30 this morning.

      Picked it up around lunch time, and the store assistant said they are absolutely hammered with online fulfillment orders. Guy said that he hasn't finished all the orders.
