No dedicated Direction/arrow keys is going to hurt a bit in practical use. Should always but keyboards with dedicated direction/arrows at a minimum.

    • Much more efficient to use key combos for arrows on a 60%, rather than move your hand to arrow keys. Eg. fn+wasd or esdf or ijkl or whatever you enjoy. More important to have good customisable firmware/software IMO.

you can say that about any that isn't a 100% keyboard, lol.

everyone has different needs, and most people can't type properly anyways.

60% is great when you have a tiny desk, not an accountant, need portability, compact, cheap, etc….

I have a lot of custom keyboards in all the layouts. I travel with my 60% if i am not working, and love gaming on a 60% so i can have my mouse a lot close to my keyboard.

that is why there are so many layouts, because there isn't 1 layout that is perfect for everyone

Great for emulating terminals from the 1970's or for using vi ;-)

      • A friend of mine swears by vi. I don't get it.

  • Wayyy better than the GMMK pro rubbish.

    • How do you figure?

      • This is $25 and the GMMK was $200 something.

        • So a $25 smartphone is better than a $200 one, purely on the price alone?

          • +1

@CrispyChrispy: keyboards are different man. for what people use keyboards for this $25 does it all. the $200 price tag is just markup

            • @iDeker:

              keyboards are different man.

One can argue a $25 watch accomplishes 99% of what a $20,000 watch does, but that doesn't stop people from buying the latter. Just because you can get the same basic functionality with something much cheaper doesn't automatically make the more expensive option 'bad value'.

for what people use keyboards for this $25 does it all.

The GMMK's build quality is without a doubt much better full aluminium build, gasket mount, pre-lubed stabs - feel and sound will be vastly better than this Redragon, which matters to the target audience of the GMMK Pro (custom keyboard enthusiasts)

You're not buying the GMMK Pro if you aren't wanting or don't care about having a 'custom' keyboard experience.

@CrispyChrispy: It's the OzBargain way - a Kia is a better car than a Porsche because it costs less
