  • Oh damn I JUST bought the Rapoo ripoff version for 55 the other day. Ah well it's probably fine.

Oh nvm this is for students anyway

        Are you alright mate

    • is it this one? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/196455444335 how are you finding it?

      • +1

No it was the MT760L, but it's similar.

I've only used it for the first time last night and haven't customised anything yet, so I've only used it as a regular mouse, but so far so good. Next job is to get the side wheel and extra buttons working in Blender, Cura, etc which I don't know how hard it will be on Linux and Mac.

It's very light. At first I thought it needed batteries inserted or something, but it's actually rechargeable and just very light. Some light say that makes it feel cheap, but I don't see the point in adding weights for the sake of it.

Buttons are very quiet. Wheels feel fine to scroll. So far so good.

        • Great - thankyou. Will pick one up! Sick of the rubberised coating going on these logitechs

Even with code you neeed to verify as a student through student beans

The best mouse I've ever had. No cap, it's just clicked.

  • Excludes NT

  • Is there a left hand version?

    • +1

What are you doing with your right hand?

      • +1

Maybe they don't have one. Or maybe they're born left handed

  • How can I get this deal? If I click on the "$20 off a great range of Technology" link in the eBay section of SB, the $101 listing for the MX Master doesn't show up (only seeing it for $148)

    • +3

Mine didn't work on my PC, but did work on my phone. It works for the link in the OP even though it's not listed in the specific section.

      • Thanks! Worked on my phone via Student Beans & eBay app :)

        • Still not appearing for me on PC or phone. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

THE POSTER WON'T SEND TO MY CAPITAL CITY

I changed the battery in my old MX Master 2S and it's as good as new. The rubbery coating that fails on these can be solved with a sticker set. This is a buy once mouse for 10+ years if you change the battery around the 4-5 year mark.

    • How did you change the battery and rubber coating?

      • +4

Aliexpress for the battery upgrade and stickers. I got the larger 950Mah battery vs the smaller stock battery to give me more than double the battery life. The wire plug will need to be moved from the old battery to the new battery. Because the battery I bought is a larger size, it required modding of the battery tray slightly inside the mouse to fit the larger battery. Most online videos just remove the tray and use double sided tape and leave the battery dangling in there.

        • Is the larger battery noticeable heavier?

          • +1

@y33tcity: Yes but on a mouse any weight is noticeable. I like the more heft feeling. You can get the same size battery as stock if you want the same weight and also you won't have to mod the battery tray and if my memory serves me correct, stock battery is between 450-550mah. I found out the heavier battery 950Mah makes the mouse a lot more accurate with less corrective movement needed but that is my experience, your experience might be different.

    • Couldn't agree more. 5 years in and I can see mine lasting for another 5 years! The 2S feels bigger than the 3S as well. Would love to see the 4S go back to a bigger size.

    • +1

There is also the option to upgrade/hack the 2s to get wireless charging.

      • Better to get the 950mah (double battery capacity) from Aliexpress. Basically doubles your charging intervals to a point where charging is forgotten about for months on end.

use my student account and bought 1 thx

    Best mouse I've ever owned!

I have a second brand new one in the cupboard just in case they stop making it.

    • Is it loud clicking? I'm trying to find a decent mouse that doesn't make loud cocks. Tired of hearing constant clicking noises

      • Very quiet. I use it in an open study to the lounge room, and it's not a loud gamer mouse click… very low pitch and not noticeable.

  • Can you connect this mouse to multiple devices and switch between them easily like the M720?

    • +1

Yes, primary with bolt receiver and other two with bluetooth…or all 3 with bluetooth.

      • +1

I use mine with 2 bolt receivers for 2 devices without issue.

        • +2

True, but they have to buy the second bolt receiver. I was mentioning out of the box scenario.

      • +1

The button for switching is at the bottom of the mouse tho right- not as easy to switch compared to m720

        • Yes, admittedly quite annoying but otherwise good mouse.

        • Use logitech options and enable flow…if your devices are in the same network you wont even have to use the button at the bottom. Cursor will transition to your devices automagically! You can also 'copy + paste' from one device to another. Could take a little getting used to though.

  • I have had this mouse for a few of years now. I would say its mostly good. but it does have intermittent lagging issues which is really annoying and seems to be a fairly widespread issue if you look on google.

Also I bought this to use with my Logitech Craft keyboard hoping it would sync and be able to change output devices together. Unfortunately it does not, you still have to manually change the keyboard and mouse separately. But that's a separate issue.

For this price is pretty good, hopefully you wont have the intermittent stuttering and lagging on yours.

  • Got it for over $90 without beans and thought it was good deal.

  • Thanks OP!!! got it finally

  • Thanks OP.

Didn’t need a mouse but got one anyway through my student account. Reviews and comments in this thread made me pull the trigger.

  • Recommend, this mouse is fantastic.

  • I have the Logitech MX Master 3. Love this mouse.
Almost tempted to buy the 3S thanks to this deal.

  • What if I'm not a student?

  • this looks comfy, should i upgrade my razer v3 ergonomic thing?

  • +1

The rubber grip on these feels horrible after 6 months

    • True. It will also deteriorate after a few years and can also risk crumbling to pieces (Thumb rest area) if you don't wash your hands regularly during the day. Oils and sweat react with the rubber coating. It can be fixed with a rubbery surface sticker for a few dollars from Aliexpress that you replace once every 2 years.

    • yeah mine's just started to crumble and fall off at the the thumb (this morning) - my old mx master lasted so much longer :(

might grab a new shell from aliexpress and replace https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hso0fihbmy4

Can't download the software on my work laptop. Is it possible to customise on my personal laptop and then just connect it to the work laptop with the customisations?

    • No onboard memory on the mouse, so unfortunately not.

      • Damn that sucks. I'll just have to beg the IT guys to approve the download

great price, thanks OP got one.

Very tempted as a Master 3 user for a couple of years. Anyone know when Master 4 will be out?

    $91 for non-students with code SNSM11

  • Thanks, had to do it via the SB app.

  • Grab the last one for home laptop. Thanks op

  • Anyone received their tracking yet?

  • Got this mouse, not from this deal but I love it ! Such a upgrade from my random cheapo one.

Does anyone know how the USB connectivity will work if I get the keyboard later on? I want to keep 1 single USB. Would've bought the combo if there was a deal.
