There are 2 models, the ones I linked, and the lows for $300: https://www.adidas.com.au/fear-of-god-athletics-ii-basketbal…

I skipped the last 3 Fear of God releases because I didn't like them and don't really like FOG in general, but these are pretty cool, and this is the only the second time (that I know of) you've been able to use adiClub points for limited releases. I managed to buy a few pairs of Y-3s ages ago using points to get 30% off then they got rid of it.

To get the price down to $224 you need to use 8000 adiClub to "buy" a unique 30% off code, otherwise the discounts are as follows:

  • 6000 pts for 25% off
  • 2500 pts for 20% off
  • 1200 pts for 15% off

It's good to see adidas letting people use the points for limited stuff because otherwise they're pretty useless, I'm still sitting on 40k points.

Don't bother buying to flip because they were released last night and most sizes are still available, but not many left, I got a 10.5 and there's one left. They'll prob sell out by the end of the day.

I know this isn't a 'normal' deal, but adidas deals get posted often and some people are probably sitting on a bunch of adiClub points, so if it's "unattainable" or whatever, mods please feel free to delete.

    who wears this besides kanye

I’m convinced the designers are sitting back in their mansions and private yachts pissing themselves laughing when they see people wearing their stuff.
I think there’s an inside joke/bet about who can convince the most people to pay crazy prices to wear their ridiculousness!
But hey, if it makes you happy? & it ain’t hurting anyone? I say have at it my friends ;)

  • Horrendous

players can appreciate the technical capabilities of these shoes while also recognizing that they look absolutely bizarre. not mutually exclusive.

      • Never said they don't look wack. Just appreciated the post.

        • -1

So you agree with the boomers.

Seems there is no price to high for a fashion victim?

I’m speaking as someone who paid $200 in the early 90s for a pair of Jordan 4s, took a years worth of pocket money and all my Christmas money, but geez did I think I was cool for a month or so lol

    • I’m not going to knock anyone for buying these things, I’m just going to accept that I don’t get it. Rather than getting wound up about it, it’s better to disengage.

Just like when I told my parents that I wanted Jordan’s in the 90’s, they thought I was off my rocker.

      • I’m not knocking anyone, just acknowledging the hilarity that is the difference in perspectives/priorities depending on your age, income, responsibilities or even simply what your current tastes are and what you are prepared to spend to represent that taste.
My grandmother who was visiting from NZ the Christmas I bought my Jordan 4s ribbed me until she past away anytime I’d complain about wastefulness yet she caught the tram with me over to Sportsco and covered the $50 I was short because she could see how happy they made me.
She even pretended to believe the sales girl who answered her hypothetical question about how ‘they’d better make you jump higher at that price?’ to which she answered with some technical jargon about how Nike and the nba worked with Jordan to perfect the bubble and they do indeed ‘make you jump higher’
Love my Gran to death and while I’ll throw a bit of banter at people who spend a small fortune on what I currently see as ridiculousness, I’m also hope they are as happy as I was as a 13/14yo when I finally got what had been a dream in my hot little hands.
If you can afford it, earned it &/or decided it was worth going without in other areas in order to gain your chosen piece of hype wear I say good luck to you ;)

I don’t like the pressure it puts on families/single parents/low socio economic communities who are more susceptible to marketing campaigns as it’s those kids who feel less than if they can’t afford this stuff and it’s the parents who feel the financial pressure to buy it for their kids. I have no answers but I think most of us can relate to working hard for some silly shiny object that gave us however temporary a great sense of happiness/satisfaction so get working people and enjoy your shiny objects ;)
