"The Bondi 8 is the flagship (+Max Cushion) shoe of the Hoka range. "

PS Max cushion does not necessarily mean it's a flagship nor suitable for everyone and every occasion. It's not a case of thickest foam equals best shoe. Eg. It's super heavy.

    • "super heavy" at 305g for the mens? Yes its not a lightweight shoe but its hardly 'super heavy' even for a running shoe; and its a daily training shoe not a race shoe. The Kayano is 311g, the Brooks Ghost is 291g for comparison.

The Bondi is the shoe that 'made' Hoka, so fair enough to say its the flagship I think. Its not the most expensive Hoka by any means.

The main problem with the Bondi 8 is that it looks ridiculous. I say that as someone who owned the Bondi 7. The sole is just too big!

      • Fair enough. Weight is relative x Preference is subjective = Everyone can make up their own mind.

  • good price for a Hoka. especially the D width. not many options left for my size but found one that's relatively not hideous. bought one thanks

    • mens D is the wide width?

mens D is the regular fit

        • Damn i may have to return
I have the clifton 9s in wide, didnt like the regular width of those

@minatosensei: wont be sent till Monday if you want to cancel..

  • I’m normally Nike 10.5
    How do these size?

    • Hoka 10.5= 442/3 Euro and Nike is a slightly smaller at 44.5, but probably ok to take the 10.5 in the Bondi.

In the smaller sizes the variation is a little more eg womens 8.5=40Euro in Nike where Hoka 8.5 = 402/3

Size guide is on the website

    Wide footed discrimination.

But these are poor. Recommended to me with Planter Fasciitis and had nothing but pain and more pain regardless of what I tried. Now again recommended to my partner by a podiatrist with the same issue and shes had a terrible time with it so far. Not sure why these keep getting recommended. I think it is due to the rocker motion which is supposed to reduce stress on the planter fascia, but It has no midsole support. its just foam on foam on foam. I have Brooks Glycerin gts 20 and they are amazing.

  • How much is the women's wide D?

  • Offer in store at Randwick as well?

    • 20% off instore till 17th Dec
