I just received a "communication error… please ensure you have internet access" on the Adelaide Bank app. Logging into the web page I receive the following explanation.
We are making changes to the way you access your banking
From the 5 December 2024, the mobile banking app will no longer be available. This applies to both Apple and Android versions. The good news is that an upgraded mobile app experience is in development and will include features that are incredibly important to our customers – Digital wallet (Apple and > Google Pay) and instant payments (OSKO). We are expecting this to be available in late 2025 and we are looking forward to sharing more on this with you soon!
You will continue to have access to our Online Banking website for your everyday banking needs. Online Banking can be saved as a tile to your Android or Apple IOS and can > be accessed on the go, similar to the mobile app. Support for Online Banking can be found on your Online Banking login page.
Your Adelaide Bank team.
How can any bank in this era forego an app for a whole year? Bizarre.
