Decent P&S camera <$100

Hey Guys,

Looking to purchase a cheap P&S camera under $100. Don't have too many requirement, only something that takes decent photos, easy to use and uses rechargeable batteries.

    The Good Guys have a Canon Powershot A2300 for $88 (less for cash). Nice little camera, I've been using mine for a while. Fits all your criteria, aftermarket batteries are only about $5 on ebay. http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Cameras_&_Camcorders…

    The Sony DSCW610 14.1m/4x/2.7in is going for $83.30 at Officeworks (I bought one for a friend about 3 weeks ago when they were $92)…

    Thanks guys. I have a voucher for officeworks so would prefer to buy it from there. Out of the Sony DSCW610, Fuji L50, Olympus VG160 and Fuji JX700 which would be the best buy?

    Also is the DSCW630 worth the difference in price compared to the DSCW610? If so, I'm going to try pricematch videopros 630 price of $97.90 at officeworks.

    edit: scrap that idea, looks like officeworks dont stock the 630 :(

    i think that there is little to differentiate picture wise at this price level. There is extra zoom 4x or 5x.
    but for me the sony with image stabilisation and the unique continuous panorama function sets it apart.

    Another edit: Looks like they do stock the 630 but only in silver. The one at videopro is black do you think they'll use that for a reason to not beat by 5%?

      Give it a go. Different colours within the same model are usually the same price anyway.

      PS. The DSCW610 I linked to above just went up in price to $88.
