So tempting, but need at least 1tb for my steam deck :(

    • How big is your 2230?

    • Get 2 and store one in your case….

  • How does this compare to Max Endurance cards?

Thinking about getting one of these for a security camera.

    • Don’t think there is a Max Endurance in 512

      • Just curious how they handled constant/repeated writing compared to a Max Endurance card.

    $63.74 0n amazon delivered

Good catch, if people are in a pinch and need it quick, afew more dollars from Officeworks is a good deal

    • nice, hovering between $59 and $70 since April according to CCC

    • Sold by “Sunwood”, would JB or OW price match still?

      • +1

Not in my experience. I've been told more than once that a particular item has to be shipped and sold by "Amazon AU" in order to get a price match.

          Thanks mate.

@mrhorse: They didn't want to but I just had it price matched at Oxley Officeworks.

    • for the 12 or so of us left that don't shop amazon though, these things never seem to get posted from anywhere else.

    • Just be careful with Amazon. I bought similar card a while back and dead from the get go. Fortunately Amazon returns was good.

      • Some are bad out of the box due to failures. But there are 2 sellers on Amazon that sell lots of microSD cards. Sunwood is good. Have bought heaps from them, all genuine and no failures even when pushed hard. The other seller is Swiftorder, which has some Amazon reviews that they had some fake cards.

  • Is it any good for tablet?

I want cheaper not faster 512GB cards

    • +1

Agreed. Where are the sub $50 cards?

      • Sub $50?!? I'm waiting for sub $35

  • I got this last week. Umart had it for $68 last week, got OW to beat it to bring it down to $64.60.

    They've now upped it to $69. https://www.umart.com.au/product/sandisk-512gb-4k-uhs-i-u3-c30-v30-130mb-s-microsdxc-card-sdsqxav-512g-gn6ma-73585?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA3ZC6BhBaEiwAeqfvys8aTmpW-yx1wvM4J3lqCmmNzwHI3frzBbprWGs3IU1mvwyftypD1RoCy6kQAvD_BwE

Also during that time, Amazon was selling it for $62.45 through Amazon Germany. It's now $70.

Good price for Sandisk I guess, but poor value compared to the Samsung cards. Same speed EVO Plus Samsung cards are routinely under $50 on Amazon, and sometimes under $40.

  • Grabbed 3 of 512GB Samsung A1 V30 from Amazon April 2024 at $78

    • That was a good deal.

Havent seen MSY deal appear here for a long while.

      It’s also a Umart deal :).

How the hell are SSDs more cost-effective than microSD cards now?!

      Size matter

      • +1

Glad to know small once are not cheap. 😒

        • The smaller the more expensive. Except Apple products.

      • So economies of scale.

        • its more scale of economies

  • This or Samsung pro ultimate?

  • Good for dash cam or no?

  • Is this good enough for Insta360 X4?

    • +1

      Yep

      • Thanks!

  • How is this compared to abs in the samsung

One of my first jobs was in a camera shop. I still remember the day that we received our first batch of 1GB SD cards (not micro sd).

I put $599 stickers on them and they sat behind glass.

    Crazy times

FYI Sandisk is not the best choice for Gopro cameras. Got all sorts of issues with my Gopro being frozen, with black screen and ‘no video feed’ error while abroad. Lost quite a few magical moments because of this.

Went to Gopro subreddit to complain, just to found that this is a known issue caused by Gopro cameras somehow not digesting Sandisk cards very well.

Reddit recommends Samsung evo cards, which I’m using since then, no issues so far.

    • Crazy times. The Sandisk Extreme and Extreme Pro used to be the default recommendation for GoPros

  • got price match with OW, now this on my RP4 can accomodate 10 seasons of greys anatomy.

  • Good enough for a 512GB OLED Steam Deck? Or wait for 1TB?

  • Overkill for extra storage for Nintendo Switch?

    • Not really since the pricing per GB is still better than the Mario or Yoshi-branded microSD cards.
