$125 Cashback for New Electricity Signups + Retailer Store Credit Offers @ Econnex via Cashrewards

140

Notable offers:
Engie: $200 account credit
Powershop: $150 account credit
Red: $100 Visa eGift Card

I don't think you can do both cashback and referrals. The benefit of using the referral system is you don't have to stay with the retailer for a set amount of time, the downside — it's not cash. The current Engie Black Friday deal is $250+$75 referral if you signed up directly, which is the same as this $200+$125. Too sweet to pass.

Note: you can only get cashback from Econnex once every six months. For Engie it also says new Econnex customers only. Since there is a few days to go, it might worth your time to ask Cashrewards and find out what exactly that all means, if you have used it before.

Note: you can only get cashback from Econnex once every six months.
Is it per Cashrewards account or per Econnex account or per address?

    • I’m assuming it’s per Cashrewards account. It looks like ShopBack has fewer conditions compared to Cashrewards for Econnex. Cashrewards also says it’s available to new Econnex customers only.

I cancelled my order and signed up directly, didn’t want to risk finding out in 75 days. If you haven’t used it, it’s all good. Otherwise it pays to ask Cashrewards and find out.

    • Hi Jimojr
Thanks for choosing Econnex for comparing Internet plans.
After changing your email address, you will still be eligible for the cashback.

I still haven't received the cashback from Shopback after more than a year. I didn't receive it the first time either. I should use Cashrewards instead.

      • I had issues with ShopBack getting paid from broadband compare. Took a lot of following up and a few months out to get the money. Now to look at it, it’s probably because they haven’t got the t&cs right. Cashrewards with Econnex was painless when I used it for the Powershop deal.

  • I'm looking to switch to Red for the Qantas bonus points + extra leaf for Green Tier. No problem to combine with this?

    • You might find that there are less plans when you search via econnex.

How many days do you need to stay connected to get the cashback paid out?

  • Econnex only shows the most expensive plans to me.

  • Can it stack with Engie Black Friday Saver Deal?

  • Watch out. Engie wouldn’t take me on after doing a credit check. Wouldn’t even give me a reason why. I’m assuming the churning as checked my credit file with Experian, no issues whatsoever.
