Good price, but most Ozbargainers looking for an EV charger are currently waiting for Bunnings to get back to us. 🥲

    • Whats the bunnings deal? I cant find it

    • +1

      Hi Aureus,

Thanks for your feedback, can we ask what you are waiting for in Bunnings? In branch stock specifically? The SEVR EV chargers are currently a very competitive price, are you able to find cheaper & more reliable anywhere else?

      • +1

Ocular LTE Three Phase 22kw wall charger /w 6M cable(bunnings.com.au) for only $250
Ocular Charging IQ Home Three Phase 22kW Type 2 Lead & CT Clamps for $230 or $307
Potential Bunnings price error so everyone is waiting to see whats going to happen :)

        • +1

Thanks LHSolutions, unlike the Ocular on Bunnings our price is not an error just a temporary promo & comes with 3 year product & onsite warranty - which means no cost repair or replacements for you or your electrician in the unlikely event that the product fails, we are that sure on the quality!

  • You might want to update your UI for the Black Friday Page; black text with a black background doesn't work…

    • Hi Richard,

Thanks for your feedback, will pass this onto the team. However it's a temporary promo, so won't be up for much longer.

  • +1

I like the look of the wall dock. Agreed, I am also waiting on Bunnings but this could be a great option if that gets cancelled. Nice deal.

    • Hi Big Tom,

Do you mean the back plate kit: https://sevr.au/product/back-plate-kit/ these are for wiring up now & installing the charger later, saving in labour time & ability to expand easily.. Can we ask what the Bunnings deal is that could get cancelled?

      • Actually I meant the X1 7kw single phase charger, but all of the items really - I like their design aesthetic. As @LHSolutions mentioned, there's a deal from a couple days back on some Ocular systems that a number of us are waiting to see if they are fulfilled.

        • Thanks Big Tom, yes seems like a mistake, unlike the Ocular our price is not an error just a temporary promo & comes with 3 year product & onsite warranty - which means no cost repair or replacements for you or your electrician in the unlikely event that the product fails, we are that sure on the quality!

  • I can't see it on the spec sheet (a CT is mentioned in the product description as an optional extra) but does the charger support OCCP; Solar Smart Charging; Scheduled Charging; etc?

    • Hi Remorhaz,

The X1 7kW has scheduled charging & compatibility with the Smart Life app: https://sevr.au/product/x1/
The X2 22kW has OCCP built in: https://sevr.au/product/x2/
Both can be set up to operate from an installation that has solar.

    https://sevr.au/product/hanger/ Is this $18 or $27?

    • $18 AUD with the promo code SEVRBF

      • +1

It is $27 in cart after promo code.

        • Hi Aureus,

Sorry we stand correct, it is a typo mistake - the hook is $27 not $18 & has been rectified now! If you give us a call on: 1800 00 7387, we can offer you a small gesture as a thank you for pointing this out!

  • Do you offer installations?

    • Yes we do, however this isn't part of the black friday deal. Simply fill out the form & we can also organise installation by a local recommended licensed electrician: https://sevr.au/find-an-installer/

These are the only EV chargers in Australia with a 3 year product & on-site warranty.

    That’s cool

Please be aware that items purchased during our Black Friday sale are considered final sale.

So do you stand by your products or not?

    • +3

Yeah this didn't sit right with me either.

    • Hi Jackary,

We have heavily reducing the price for the promo, & in the unlikely event the product is faulty, we will offer both product & onsite warranty - no cost repair or replacements for you or your electrician.

  • Hi do you have a 15a charger with start and end scheduling

    • Hi Bex,

Our X1 is 32A with start & end scheduling through the smart life app. However we do have a 15A cable reel with integrated charger & plug, coming in the new year: https://sevr.au/product/sv-evr1-3-ret-6b/

      • Is this on sale too?

Got a feeling this is RRP manipulation… says “$599” on their store plus a discount, but on their Bunnings Marketplace listing they are listed at $420 (blaze it!!)…

This just stinks of fake discount manipulation by adding a totally unrealistic RRP way above its usual price and adding a discount to make the bigger discount look more appealing.

Why are you selling it on your website for $599, but on Bunnings for $420?

Edit: Cheaper on your ebay store when you use code PASS120 making the price $339.40

Why didn’t you post that as your deal instead of this one?

    • I don't think their eBay store would pass the posting guidelines, as it only has 1 feedback?

      • An exception is where the seller already has an online store. In this case, the deal can be posted if the 'alternative store domain' (under the deal URL) is set at the time of posting

As I understand it, if the eBay store is backed by an ABN and a physical and online presence, they are allowed to post their eBay deals…

Now, as I have delved deeper, I have found some things that are far more interesting… A search of their site turns up an ABN: 11 669 609 929. This was registered July 2023… But the domain is owned by "melec", with an ABN: 67 120 266 846, and that was only registered on 21/11/24 according to ASIC. It appears as if both domains were set up within a day of each other (03/06/24??)

InB4: tHaT's DoXxiNg!1!1!!… No, this is publicly available information and I am not naming any one person nor any address (that ironically is also available on their website.)

        • Hi Pegas,

Thank you for taking the time to research, for clarity M-Elec has been in operation for over 16 years & is a wholesale distributor of SEVR: https://www.melec.com.au/sevr/. SEVR products are sold through multiple channels, but we currently offer the best deal directly on sevr.au using the promo code SEVRBF. Regarding the eBay promotion, we’re not involved in or in control of any eBay-specific discounts, so you may be able to join ebay plus for $49 to get a $20 voucher but we can’t confirm if that applies on the SEVR eBay store? Should you have any further issues or would like to purchase a charger, please do not hesitate to give us a call: 1800 00 7387. Have a great day!

Thanks for doing the research. When will reps learn OzB members don't want to pay more, not really how a bargain website works.

      • Hi Watchnerd,

We completely understand that OzBargain members are all about getting the best deal - can you share where you are finding it cheaper online currently?

    • Hi Pegaxs,

Thanks for pointing this out! To clarify, this is a genuine promotion. Our standard RRP is $599 across all retailers. On our website, we’re offering 40% off with a promo code, & our eBay store reflects the same discount without the promo code.

For platforms like Bunnings and other online marketplaces, we don’t have the ability to run promo codes, so instead, we’ve temporarily reduced the price by 30% during the promotion period. Once the promo ends, the RRP will revert back to the original pricing everywhere!

Regarding eBay's additional discounts, we don’t have control over those. Their promo (https://pages.ebay.com.au/buyer_coupons/plussignup/) appears to require a $49 membership to get $20 off our product.

This deal is designed to offer the lowest price directly through us for a limited time.

      • eBay store reflects the same discount without the promo code.
For platforms like Bunnings and other online marketplaces… we’ve temporarily reduced the price by 30%

The customers on Bunnings Marketplace only deserve a 30% discount?

Regarding eBay's additional discounts, we don’t have control over those.

I know you dont have control over it, but were you made aware of it being applied to your store? Asked if you wanted to participate?

Their promo (…) appears to require a $49 membership to get $20 off our product.

While somewhat correct… you dont think on a site dedicated to getting a "bargain" that anyone would have eBay Plus? And your comment makes it sound like I have to spend $49 to get $20 back each time I buy, when I can sign up for $49 and get $20 discount from you PLUS a range of other discounts from other retailers on their site and regular discounts throughout the year.

The point is that there are a great number of users here who would use the eBay Plus code and get another $20 off your price.

This deal is designed to offer the lowest price directly through us for a limited time.

Correct, and this seems to be the latest trend with reps. It is to negate to inform users that they have an online presence in online marketplaces, ie: eBay, Amazon, Bunnings, Kogan, etc and often direct people to their own store because they make more money off transactions conducted there, and quite often the price is MORE than what the items can be purchased from online marketplaces with discount codes, vouchers or just outright cheaper in their marketplace stores…

        • Hi Pegaxs,

Ultimately, we’re committed to offering value to all our customers, whether they shop directly with us or via other platforms. We’ll take your feedback on board as we continue improving our communication and pricing strategies.

Regarding eBay's discounts, these are managed by eBay itself. We’re not involved in the setup or approval of such promotions, nor are we always notified when they’re applied. While eBay Plus might offer great value for frequent users, our focus here is on ensuring transparency and providing direct savings to customers without the need for additional memberships.

Finally, suggesting that we intentionally misdirect customers is incorrect. Pricing varies across channels for reasons such as fees, marketing, operational logistics, specific agreements or marketplace policies, which can differ. We aim to deliver fair pricing and an exceptional customer experience, whether you're purchasing through our site or other platforms.

If you’d like further assistance or want to place an order, feel free to reach out directly at 1800 00 7387.

  • So do you need the backplate and the charger??? Any actual reviews around?

    • Hi Goff,

No you don't require the backplate with the X2! The back plate and cover are used for larger projects, (not one off's), to prepare for additional EV charger installations, without having to install the actual units immediately. Hope that makes sense. Should you have any further technical questions, feel free to call us on: 1800 00 7387

  • Thanks OP, just bought the 7kW Type 2 cable. Seems like a good price for a travel cable.

    • Hi Tempting,

Thanks for ordering - enjoy :)
