Best Blower / Vacuum?

Just bought into my first garden and so I have no gardening power tools.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good blower/vacuum as I have a lot of leaves that need cleaning up around the joint. Specifically interested in the vacuum part as I reckon blowing is pretty much a waste of time. I don't mind corded or batteries, but I'm not invested in any battery system yet. I hear 36V is much better and stronger?

Anyway thank you garden gurus for your help.

The XU1 is a cheap corded one from Bunnings. Give it a go and see how you feel about such a tool. They all blow better than suck, and if you have a lot of leaves you generally blow to a pile them shovel/bag the leaves.

  • I got a petrol Ryobi blower/ sucker combo some years ago and was pretty disappointed with the sucker mode especially. Blowing debris into a pile and then disposing with bucket and shovel works way better for me.

  • I got the Ozito 2 x 18V brushless one. Its a beast!

Put the money towards a quietish garden mulcher. Get a leaf rake and plastic hand pick-ups. You can guess the rest. Less noise + more garden benefit.

Get a rake. Blowers are obnoxious.

  • You need to get a super powerful unit - remember 20% of the power is for blowing and 80% of the power is for making that noise.
