  • Cracking price for a fun build

    • It's an amazing model as well. The wing action alone is pretty spectacular, but adding the landing gear/cargo hold opening on top is just chef's kiss.

  • Why do they need all those whirley bits when they can do anti gravity and just float?

    • +4

Designed for maneuverability as opposed to anti-gravity tech which is both inefficient and costly.

        This guy sci-fi’s

Aren’t they quite wealthy though, cos of the spice?

  • Nice one Hamza, this is one of the best lego sets and at this price its a steal, will enjoy building this one immensely

  • Bought. My son desperately wants this set, so it'll be a nice Christmas present.

  • Previous comment removed as it had product link but worth noting that AliExpress has very similar builds for ~$40 if anyone strapped for cash!

Saw that link in another post and had it in my cart during 11.11. Lego is taking the piss a little with these prices. Clearly for adults at this stage and kids be damned.

      • Aliex sets go hard for the price. Bags sometimes don't corespond to the actual instructions. Occasional missing or broken pieces. Sometimes have to use a tiny bit of glue. I had to send one "Large" set back as it was missing about 2000 pieces (Full refund and free return) but other than that they have been awesome. Once built they still look amazing expecially for the price. The cheap technic sets are legit also. UCS Falcon for $110? I bought from some random seller during a sale a while back. Small falcon is real lego Solo and the Falcons

Great set to build. Just be mindful at step 87 that the yellow t shape piece is in the right position when closing the left hand side of the structure. If it's in the wrong position, the landing gear / cargo won't open fully. I learnt this the hard way and and had to take the whole thing apart and redo.

Flip side, got to enjoy the build twice.

    ATREDIES !!!

  • Got mine from Ali yesterday, very good build.

    • What's the quality like of the blocks? Similar to lego?

      • +1

I got an optimus prime from AliExpress and a genuine Lego one. It's good enough but the differences are noticeable, different shade of brick colour vs genuine, not as glossy, thinner plastic so more translucent, harder to put together and the pieces don't fit as perfectly as genuine.

        • +1

OK thanks. I'll probably just get the non-genuine sets for the kids then :)

      • Some of the items are slightly lower quality like minifigs, but it quality can also vary between kits. I've had some amazing minifigs.

Generally you'd have to look up close and side by side to see the differences. For $30 (after cashback) it's worth the risk. I get them for my son so it's for playing not collecting.
