Moving to South Australia Was Wanting Some Recommendations on Energy Providers?

Moving to rental property that will be a new house so I guess that has a smart meter? Medium use about 13kwh per day

Without solar panels is it worth going to a deal that discounts peak sunlight times like energy locals has a plan that gives a low rate i think 14.4 c/kwh during 10-3 that I can capitalise as I will be home to do the laundry/dishwasher etc.

There seems to be a lot of bundles/credits etc with different providers, coming from Perth that just had one. Are there any recommendations? Tips?

And is worth bundling with gas?

  • Im sure there's cheaper but we moved to Origin Go Variable (special Fam and Friends offer) from AGL. We also dont have solar atm.

Just having a quick look on energymadeeasy.gov.au and based on our use (about 12 kWh a day) we should switch to one of the cheapies like Pacific Blue.

However, the total estimated savings on the headline rate for us is $170. Factor in FF rate and its not worth it

Family and friends deal was actually published on OzB.

  • There are so many providers and they are all based on your needs, try this https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/
    Plus you can always change.
