sorry, but isn't this the regular price?

      • +4

That is a different item, $99 has been the normal price for months

        • -3

My opinion is that in price competition, Bunnings will offer some special stocks of Ozito, they are not in every store
But it is indeed sold every time for $99

    • +5

Yeah it's been this price since at least Sept-2022 according to pricehipster

    • +2

That's what I was thinking - I got on this deal a while ago and they were on the shelf of every Bunnings I visited at this price for months.

but not everyone knows about it so thanks to OP for posting it.

  • Free Delivery on eligible tool orders over $99

  • They need to do something like the battery trade in offer for the 2 x 5.2v ultra PXC batteries again. Or even just a decent sale on them. So much better you'd spend the extra $50 and forego the charger when you already have an excess of fast chargers from the previous deals.

    • +1

Yeah, I took that deal and was loving my5.2v battery. Ultra long lasting :)

      • Yeah same. They just run so much better on some tools too. Would do again

    • I snoozed and loozed on the makita & Bosch battery trade. Still stewing, cos I kept my old dead batteries in the shed for some reason … The reason came, and I froze.

  • Having how many ozito batteries is considered too much?

    • +1

I always feel I need just one more after purchasing new one

It also depends who many tools you have.

      • Hmm, that makes me wonder what is the ideal tool to battery ratio?

        • Surely that ratio isn’t very important considering they’re interchangeable.

    • +7

Having how many Ozito batteries is considered too much many? N+1, where N is the current number of batteries owned.

    • One per tool plus one in the charger

    • NEVER!

Once you have more batteries than you can use, you start finding new uses for them. Which drives the desire to buy more. Which then drives you to find more uses. And so on, forever and ever.

  • Already have 8 of the Ozito 4Ah, and couple of the 2Ah batteries, do I need more?

    • -1

my general rule is 3 x 4ah per tool, so i have like 7 ozito tools, currently have 15 4ah batteries, i need 6 more to get 21

      • +2

Are you using all 7 tools at the same time?

      • +1

Wow that’s a lot of batteries! Surely you never use all the tools all day though?

      • +1

        Sounds like a fire hazard

  • Got 2x4.0 and 1x2.5
Only used for drill (furniture duty) and vacuum currently

Moving soon to townhouse with a tiny yard but will be picking up lawnmower and leafblower nonetheless - feel like I might need an extra battery or two but I'm sure I could swap around as needed as it is.

Perhaps better to just deplete existing batteries as quickly as possible so can get new ones later on.

    • +2

Correct, they don’t last forever whether you’re using them or not. Buying them preemptively is just wasting their lifespan prematurely.

    • +2

Definitely want 2 or 3 sets of 4.0s on the garden tools. The 36v jet blower in particular tears through batteries

      • +1

But so worth it…. the 36V jet blower is my most used Ozito tool

        • Just wait until you upgrade to the 56V Ego kit.

  • Would these work with an adaptor for Makita tools?

    • Would like to know also 🤓

    • +1

Yep - only thing to note is if some tools use too much power it can set off the batteries safety mechanism and require resetting. My Makita recipro saw does it if I pull the trigger 100% for extended periods of time.

  • +4

need the $129 for 4x 4.0ah deal back.

    • Hanging on for this

  • -1

This set was included with a discounted power tool I bought, I think either a lawnmower or a multi purpose trimmer/hedge trimmer/pole saw/brushcutter kit. Probably overall cheaper if you can get it as part of a package if you need something that has it.

  • -1

ppl buying this just to selvage the cells?

    • Which brand of cells are they using?

  • +2

I bought this some months ago in store for $89
Usually see it as $99 in store.

  • If you are just chasing best Ah for your dollar, the the black 2.5Ah and charger for $20 equates to 12.5Ah for your hundred dollars as opposed to the 8Ah in this deal, not quite as much current available though for the high drain tools.

    • -1

Link please? They provide same power but shorter duration?
      Edit: found it
      I just don't need more chargers….

  • +1

    This is the normal price
It all depends on what you are after
As mentioned above, the $20 ozito battery might be a better deal
I bought this pack earlier for my ozito 36v lawn mower, the mower came with a pair of 4Ah battery, which is not enough, so bought this extra pair battery for the mower
In my opinion, the max number of battery anyone needs is 4-6 batteries, depends on usage of course.
