Laptop for Accounting Student Budget < $1500

Hi all, going to be studying accounting and information systems next year and am looking for a laptop below $1500 to last a minimum of 3 years.

Uses: Browsing, spreadsheets, YouTube, may include light programming. Not really a tech guy, so feel free to ask further questions.

    Yes, very much. Have been able to cope without one on my old laptop throughout high school but will definitely appreciate one next year.

      That will massively narrow your selection… unless you're OK to cart around a bluetooth add-on?

        I'm definitely down to use a bluetooth numpad if necessary. Just spoke to my dad (also studied accounting), he said a numpad isn't entirely necessary until I start my career.

            I believe he uses an elitebook that his company has given him, not too sure on the model

  Consider a 16" ASUS Vivobook with an 8845HS processor. KB will have numpad, more screen for spreadsheets, while only weighing 1.5kg

    I think accrual accounting is usually studied way more in uni
