I bought the dyson gen 5 today.

Is the stick cracked or is it normal?

no its how the plastic is moulded.

Even the older Dyson models have marks like that. Perfectly normal.

Simply flow lines in the injection molds. Doesn't alter the integrity of the plastic. Completely normal on Dyson products.

I thought the same thing. After spending $2500 on a vacuum (I paid full retail during covid because Dyson has HEPA filter which gets rid of covid), you would think these minor imperfections wouldn't exist.

The Chinese manufacturers need to really step up their game.

Yeah that's normal

No idea why but I guess it's just another example of Dyson laughing at us for spending so much on their stuff
