These are great when they're new but careful of the lids on these things. Find they're a pain to clean properly

Lids suck on these and magnet wears out

How does the magnet wear out? Corrode or somehow get weaker? 🤔

      • I have had 2 of these for over 2+ years now. Use them everyday and the lids are fine on both of them.

      • Weaker

      • not sure what he means. i've had one of these for close to 5 years. with extensive daily use and dishwasher cycles, it's like new.

    • You mean you've had it for a whole week?

  • Any made in Japan insulated bottles?

    • -8

      That's a weird requirement

By the way, any bottles packaged in Lebanon?

      • +10

Why do you find it weird that certain countries are renowned for making certain things?

Japan is renowned for producing good quality insulated bottles, flasks, containers, etc.

For real? First I've heard of it, based on the up votes I guess it's common knowledge. Noted.

Zojirushi. Renowned Japanese brand. Some of their bottles are made in Japan & some made elsewhere.

Have the non-insulated version. The lid design is a hassle. The magnets are just for casually keeping it in place, not for securing it. To secure it you have to tighten the lid by twisting it. It's very easy to accidentally not tighten it enough and have it leak if the bottle is on its side. I prefer a pop up lid as least you can visually glance and see if its in place. With this you have to get into the habit of constantly trying to tighten it which is annoying.

    • The lid design was never meant to secure the seal - that's a ridiculous claim. The design is so that you can operate and open the bottle without guidance, but still have easy access to clean the lid compared to a pop-up lid. I find that this is an excellent bottle that you can have on the road in your car since you can open it one-handed. No other insulated bottle has this feature that I know of. And you won't find a pop up lid on any insulated bottle.

As for not tightening it enough… Well, I'll leave that up to your anecdotal experience of not learning how to tighten a bottle lid properly.

Probably better size than the 1litre for cup holders in my car? Can someone recommend if the 1l fits? I drive a subaru

    • 1L fits in my Kia Sportage

  • Does the podium water bottle spout easily close on itself accidentally? I have water bottles that do this and it's extra annoying. Does the podium have a way to stay open securely while I cycle and drink simultianeously?

    Any better?

Warning on the Podium. I can't see the top of the podium but it looks like the lid on the CamelBak that I've got. It's an utter pain to clean because you need to disassemble it to do so and the way it's made the components are flimsy so you do distort them when cleaning. You get to choose between mould or being broken. It's a piece of crap.

  • Says they are used? What does that mean?
