Why AliExpress Asked for a Return Shipping Fee When They Have 15 or 90 Days Free Return to Customers?

Currently, I have a few items that I want to return due to quality issues and a change of mind. They used to provide a return labels to process the return. However, they have now asked me to pay for the return shipping cost back to China and wait for the check process before they refund me.

Has anyone experienced this?

I am really disappointed by their sellers' false and misleading advertising and they made false statemen to the return policy now…

Thanks in advance!

Regards!

Did you make any mention of 'change of mind' in the online return process?

No. Even If I no longer need it. The return policy said return the item "if not satisfy" within 15 or 90 days depending on the individual order.

Has it been less than 15 days? 😉

I asked for the return label as soon as I opened and check the package.

The free return is valid for items that has a free return. Sometimes items don't have a free return.
Aliexpress does not have a sitewide free return policy.

What about the item said this…

      Free returns
Not satisfied with your order? Send it back within
15 days after delivery. The first return on each order is free.

Also, I think if a buyer makes it a habit then ali does start to make it more difficult. I can't confirm but going on what I sense from all the reddit posts.

ROFL, it's China, their sellers can claim anything they like … not like the ACCC nor ACAT will go after them …

It is hilarious you expect cheap chinese merchants to have better than Amazon return policies :/

I thought this was well known about buying any items internationally!

Stay tuned for next post "I spend $100 returning items to AliExpress and the seller claims they never got them, what can I do?!?"

HINT: throw items in the bin and consider the money gone :/ Cheap lesson in shopping internationally …

    • Ok, this make sense.

  • Check your email to see if you've received a free return shipping label.

    • No

Why don't you want to check your email? There could be a free return label there.

        • Does OP need to provide a MS Paint diagram of them checking their email account for the free return label?

Just do a credit card chargeback and move on, this is exactly what I do for Temu or aliexpress when something ain’t right, just have a photo to back it up and the bank will support you

    • Thanks! Will do it next time. I usually using PayPal.

Aliexpress have a policy on "free" returns depending on how many returns you've done per month: see here

If you scroll on that page, you'll see this table that outlines the specifics

    • I read that table and my items to return are less than 10 (It literally 3 items I need to return due to quality issue.) and also they sent me either faulty product or product with wrong color…

I still waiting for the refund after an item returned to them after 2 weeks.
