This is probably just to cover the international fee

    Dude F trip . com

I was looking for a particular flight and they had the cheapest price according to Skyscanner.

But as soon as I went over to trip . com it kept saying “this price is no longer available” and price kept going up, by like $150 each time!

They essentially caught me as a desperate customer (and yeah there weren’t too many options) but they literally dynamically inflated the price once they had me access the website. After like 4 attempts I could finally purchase the tickets for like $500-600 more.

    It’s just so rubbish.

Also not sure how much of a factor it is these days but you should always try and book from the airline itself to avoid future dramas. I try to most of the time unless it’s a huge saving to use Trip / Expedia / Kiwi / AuntBetty etc.
