  • a plan with telstra with $49 for 25GB

Doesn't sound like a good price even with your old plan. Why are you with Telstra?

it had free international calls.. - unlimited… (which i dont use now).. yes it is a wake up call from telstra.. time to go for these pre paid sims

Fair enough, it does seem like Telstra these days does just rely on people who've always been with them and don't know there are better options.
Personally I'm with Boost Mobile, still get the good of the Telstra network with better prices. Their $320 plan works out to be ~30Gb/Month for $26.67/Month.

  • Telstra great if one has good 5G coverage speeds like my area over 600mbs, unless this old plan is only a 4g plan?, well cheap considering how expensive Telstra's base plans are, yupz Telstra pushing the boundaries of higher priced plans, well they can do what they like as they have their ressellers to do the cheaper plans, same with Optus and Vodafone too to an extent

  • If I were you I would transfer to the Woolies telstra deal $36pm for 5G, 55GB of data and one 10% off per month shop

Dealing directly through telstra they can raise the plans whereas JB/GG don't

  • I complained to Telstra about my prepaid mobile broadband lack of reception. They then sent me a survey and I bottom scored them across the board. Two weeks ago I got an email from them saying there may have been a problem with my data rollovers and they gave me a voucher for $79 (300gb) data running on 4g which I am now using.Only problem is the reception is still crap so free is good but using it is problematic. My phone is on Coles 4g and spare phone is on Kogan 4g and their reception is perfect.
