    • The speed of these units vary greatly, the Nexto unit I bought will copy at the full speed of your card up to about 30MB/sec, I've found cheaper units to copy as slowly as 0.5MB/sec…

  • I can see it's useful but if your using it strictly for digital photos I'd probably just buy more SD cards since they are smaller and cost about $15 for 4 gigs. I'd need to be taking ALOTTT of pictures to need this before I can get to a PC to make a backup to a HDD.

    • Not everyone uses SD cards.
