Here are the winners of our weekly competition:

Well done guys! The same deal — reply back the notification email with your preference of prize, either PayPal or gift vouchers.

On the topic of gift vouchers, so far there has only been 3 different kinds of requests:

  • Deals Direct vouchers — very straight-forward for me to buy, and delivered instantly.
  • OO.com.au gift certificate — only 1 request so far, and I still have not received it from OO.com.au (some billing stuff up)!
  • JB Hifi voucher — straight-forward setup as well, but only had 1 request for it.

The PayPal payment option is by far the most popular choice (90% of the prize winners prefer PayPal). It is fast, easy for me to do, and incur no fee if you have a personal account. Maybe we should standardise on PayPal payment for our weekly prizes. Moreover if I already have your PayPal details on file, I can just push the fund through without waiting for your email reply.

What do you think?

  • No, still let members choose what they want.

  • I agree with JeffreyM, although PayPal would be a best options for most people, but then some people might have something else in mind.

  • Yeah, I don't have paypal and don't really want to sign up to it unless I have to.

As for a JB-Hifi voucher, I might have to get that next time :P

  • Alright guys. Democracy wins — no changes for now :) I would think that PayPal makes most sense as once you get the cash, you can buy whatever voucher takes your fancy.

For those of us with Asian background would know, that giving "red packets" is usually the best option when you go to weddings, rather than buying useless and expensive items from gift registries.
