Free app to order Subway from your phone

Hey guys,

We made an app that lets you create and order Subway in store from your phone. It should work at most stores across Australia.

It's free and currently available for iOS and Android.

You can download it at http://submaker.com.au

Let me know what you think! Feel free to ask any questions here or via our website.

Thanks!

Note: We did not do this with the involvement of Subway. There may be bugs or issues with the store receiving or choosing to make your order. If you have a problem with a particular store please let us know using the contact form on our website - it has a pre-populated list of all the stores. We hope to find a better way to get orders into stores in the future.

  • If this is not official, how does it contact subway? I've never seen subway have an order list like dominoes?

Should have more info, like if it requires a working internet (which I would presume so)

  • Is there any point to this app if you have to line up like everybody else to collect when it only takes a couple of minutes to make your sub once you get a server's attention?

    • Gives you time to think about what you want to put on your sub and you don't have to worry about holding up the line with thinking time.

      • No problem with the first world indecisiveness here. I usually know what I want or decide while in line. Why waste time fiddling with an app beforehand?

        • It has a list on their website.

Saves you time. Don't deal with scraps of paper any longer.
Saves your brain. Submaker memorises your friends' orders so you don't have to.
Makes you the office hero. You'll put the work experience kid out of business. (not quite sure I agree with this one)
Send orders to your local store. They might even make it for you.

Also not everyone is good at thinking when put under pressure, lets say you suffer from an anxiety disorder like social anxiety this app would be quite helpful as it would require minimal contact with the cashier instead of having to list your entire order.

        • What scrap of paper? What pressure? I give my order, it's made and I'm out of the place in two minutes. You guys need an app for your disorders? LOL

Now a pizza app, that makes sense because you want them to start making it before you pick up. This one I don't see the point.

    • Fair call.

We made this to use in the office where we often place orders for multiple people. This has the advantage of saving people's orders and sending them all to the store at once so we don't have to stuff around with pen and paper.

We've been pretty lucky with our local Subway who often has them made when we get there and we have even jumped the queue to pay on occasion.

OK. But you still haven't answered as to how do you "send" it to Subway? If you are linking into their booking system and you have not involved them, wouldn't it tantamount to hacking? I'm not questioning your ethics. Just genuinely curious.

      We send them a fax.

      • Understood. Thanks.
