There’s barely any difference between the 13 & 14. What specific feature are you worried about missing out on? Between 14 & 15 is significantly different, same as 15 & 16.
There is a one difference between all of your comparisons. There is a three difference between the 13 and 16.

Extra update year + the 2gb ram difference means the 14 isnt gonna slow down as much as the 13 i believe
Action mode video and crash detection are the biggest differences. The main camera is slightly improved but you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between 13 & 14

Probably should wait for the next major hardware refresh, really. I saw my mother's pathetic iPhone XR and had to give her my 14 Pro, so I just upgraded to 16 Pro Max. She'd have gone on using the XR for years otherwise. Using that thing is like having brain damage, in 2024. I mean it runs okay there's just a slight delay when you do anything and battery is shite. Phones should wake instantly, apps should open instantly, all actions should be instant.
