    • Ikea charger is amazing, I have it. The main difference is 1st, this is a GAN charger so probably has less heat and improved efficiency. (Don't quote me on that). 2nd reason is some people hate multi port chargers with a passion. Probably something to do with their OCD to have a clean single port charger that does things simply with no power delivery division between ports, unnecessary power distribution electronics in the charger etc. Just a minimalist, clean, cool and simple single port charger.

It's showing up as $23 when I log in

    • Online only. Can't pickup. Postage is $5.

  • Mine says $5 delivery

  • I had one of these and it nearly caught fire under 6 months of use. I was lucky that I happened to be sitting in front of it when I started smelling smoke. Quite a lot of bad reviews about it too

    • New Release from Cygnett.

      • He needs some attention and a hug.

        • +1

Can I have a hug hug too?

That s my bad I couldn't see the photo. I'm talking about the older cygnet Powerplus which has a history of overheating

        • Best to read, rather than react!
"New Release from Cygnett" is First line of Deal Description.

But understand your knee-jerk reaction to Deal based on previous bad experience.

          • @INFIDEL: Yes I didn't read the post properly, busy morning. Everytime I see 'cygnet Powerplus 45w' on other posts I comment my experience so people will check the reviews before they buy.

            • @MeesusEff: Understand!
Same immediate reaction for most to another flaming brand of chargers🔥

              I wouldn't buy HEYMIX!
But have another model Cygnett that works fine.

    • -1

MeesusEff, A fascinating and also very Interesting thought process for you to know what you just wrote to be a lie but still post it for your own amusement. Especially when this charger just came out last month, lol. And every online feedback is rating it nearly full 5 stars. Very interesting thought process, are you ok bro, you need some attention?

      • -2

Lol you don't need to get your panties in a twist I couldn't see the photo since I don't have tgg commercial and the kogan one didn't load(until now). But yes mine is the older version cygnet powerplus 45w. Considering the amount of bad reviews for that one i would still stay away from this given it 'just came out'. Just like how people stay away from Heymix because some caught fire no?

Anyway chill bruh, buy whatever you like, just a warning about my experiences with the brand that's all. Have fun being the experimental bunny

You need help and we are all here to help you get through whatever you might be going through in life. It is ok, just know that time heals everything and you don't have to resort to false comments and allegations on a brand name to make them look bad especially one of the highest rated Aussie brand that constantly tops review charts.

          • +1

@Dollar Dreamer: Lolol are you getting paid by Cygnett or something you seem oddly defensive about it.

Anyway a 15 second search revealed 2 reviews saying the same thing, so your product ain't that 'hot' anyway 😂 here's the more detailed one below.

            actually slows your phone's charging
I have purchased this Charger from the shop and paid about $60.

Read until the end because you may have also thought that this charger is actual 45W and fine print says it's only 15W.

tried this on my galaxy ultra s24 and while the phone says charges ultra fast, it took about an hour to charge the phone from 50% to 100%. later when I used the 25W charger of smasung it did 50% to 100% in 15-18 minutes no fuss.

if anyone owns a galaxy phone versions s22, s23, s24 ultra phones they know that they have various super fast charging capabilities betweeen 25W and 45W wall chargers and the 45W slightly gives you avings of another 3-5 minutes in time when chardging your phone, so if you are going to pick this charger for the 45W experience in your phone you will be making a mistake, because this is just a visual marketing trick to the consumer that shows this charger as a capable of delivery of 45W charging speed when this late actually says fro usb c it only delivers 15W. The lesson here, do not trust what it says on the box when is says 45W. this is just stealing from your customer. there are way more cheaper charger out there and I believe this spercific product model needs to be reported to the consumer guarentess because it does not really delivers what it says that it delivers

    • Some reviews are from years ago!

      • -1

Exactly, some shop vendors attach the new product to an existing product page and keep the reviews as is lol. That's why 99% of the reviews from everywhere else is from the past 2 months and the 2 he linked is from before the charger was released lol because it's for a different model. Also 2 bad reviews from that different model vs all the rest 5 star reviews. He even admitted when probed that it wasn't even this charger lol.

    • -2

OK my experience was for the previous version my bad, but given that has a history of overheating, I wouldn't jump the gun on anything new.

      • -2

For funsies, send the link to the 'previous version' with the bad reviews you mentioned. I got you for lying the 1st time, let me see if I can get you the 2nd time where you say 'bad reviews'. Let's have a look at the bad reviews. I want to explore how your mind works. We all want to see the bad reviews you mentioned on the 'previous model'. It all could be in your head so let's explore your mind to see how it works. :-)

        • -3

Mate get your head out of the sand, I'm not going to make up stories to rag on a nobodies post on Ozbargain lol, I can state my experience and other people can make their own decisions

Gives an electric shock if you touch the two pins after unplugging it from the wall, capacitor is clearly discharging through the wall pins.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Heavy, works for some but not all usb cables
Bought it to charge my new phone. Its very heavy and will fall if in a powerboard and pull things with it. It charges two phones at once but gets very hot but once 3 items or 1 portable battery are connected its more erratic.

I wrote this comment last year, so that's the previous version
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14037322/redir

When I search a lot of the product reviews have been blocked off (shows xx number of reviews but nothing when you click). That's out of my control which you are probably going to use that as an excuse to call me a liar again but not that I can control the internet or when a store stops listing a product.

Anyway, do as you like I wont bother with your unhinged comments about me lying. If you wanna support this brand, good for you. Hopefully you are as supportive to Heymix when they release a new charger (I actually have 2 heymix myself and it's been fine for 6 years - happy to show you the receipt and it plugged in if you're gonna call me a liar again LOL)

          • -1

@MeesusEff: Let's explore this further. Send us the links to the product pages. We want to have a look at the reviews ourselves. Let us all get to explore your mind and how it works more clearly. Let's get some proof. Post direct links to the product pages you got the review from and let's further analyse your comment and let's try to understand your mind and how it works to either validate your comment or to put you in the loony bin.

            • -2

@Dollar Dreamer: Lol wtf I literally told you the websites where you can find the reviews, if you went on jb, tgg, target etc and search the cygnett Powerplus 45w > reviews> 1 star, u can see it yourself I'm not gna fkn baby you through that. And even if I do you're still gonna find a way to just stamp your feet and call me names anyway so grow up man. How hard is it for you to go on JB hifi and type that in. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/cygnett-powerplus-4-port-…, see wow took me 20 seconds. You can go on target and tgg yourself I'm not wasting more time on your delusions

Funny how you didn't respond to my comment that I actually did link with the negative comment of YOUR actual product. Pick and choose eh?

              • -1

@MeesusEff: Thought so. Case closed, we have run around in a full circle in your head and have concluded that you are a bit looney. 1) Completely different product as I correctly predicted. 2) Super high rated at 4.5 stars out of 5 for said different product. Man, you dug a grave and then didn't stop digging after 6 feet lol. In all seriousness it was a fun exercise to roam around in your head wasn't it? Next time, calm your mind before you start typing completely false narratives about a particular product with no proof or data to back yourself up.

                • @Dollar Dreamer: Can… You actually read or just dumb? I already said from my 2nd comment on this post that I made a mistake and was talking about the older version LOL. You are the one asking me to prove what I was saying, which I did for the older version which you asked for. Hahaha the only one delusional on this post is you. I knew if I proved it you would still be on your delusional rant. Let me spell it out for you, you're a nobody, no one needs to make up shit to 'discredit' your post. I have literally given you proof which you refuse to acknowledge. You're like the lunatics who claim you have absolute proof that the earth is flat yet when refuse to give your 'evidence'. You've proven it's absolutely pointless having any discussion with you.

highest rated Aussie brand that constantly tops review charts

Couldn't find it on any charger ratings sites, care to prove it?

But because of your delusional rantings, thanks for reminding me to neg your post due to the reviews on your actual product :) which you very conveniently again decided to not acknowledge and just go on your ramblings.

                  Have a good night!

Negging this based on comments that it doesn't fast charge

2 reviews here stating the same thing

We had a hectic day exploring your mind and we discovered a lot of issues with you that needs some work. You will be ok though, just keep your mind active, go out more, you will recover.

      • you're hilarious , but since you love making assumptions about me, now its my turn to do an analysis on you, be honored that I actually went on my laptop for this.

        • You suffer from an inferiority complex, likely to have an insignificant role if you are working, hence why you absolutely jumped on the chance to be condescending on what was a non issue that could have been easily resolved by "As mentioned this is a new product" to which I would have acknowledged and apologised for misreading the post, instead you jumped to childish insults and off topic rambling.

        • Keyboard warrior syndrome. Again escalating what is a non issue by attempts to insult and demean, yet guaranteed in a real life situation, you wont say shit.

        • Lack of integrity , throwing insults before I had a chance to respond, cowardice behaviour

        • some form of ADD, whether you are diagnosed or not, your inability to follow through a conversation and hyperfixate on a singular point which is no longer the topic of the conversation, still radio silence on the comments saying this product doesn't fast charge and your proof of "Cygnett is the top rated for chargers" . if you don't, then you're just really shit at following a basic conversation.

Don't need to deny, its all evident in the way you speak to others who don't see eye to eye with you. Throwing random insults at me instead of engaging in a proper discussion, oops I forgot to add immaturity

I know I will be ok thanks :) I just pity you for all your issues… looks like you have a lot more homework than me.

        Toodles :)
