[Pre Order] Free Barista-Made Coffee, Iced / Shake Drink (First-Time Orders only) @ Participating BP Stores via BPme App

530

There is no decaf option.

It seems to cover all the extras too. I just tried to add a bunch of random stuff like vanilla flavour and double shots to an iced latte, it came up to over $10 then free at checkout.

Don't forget, if you have Uber Pro, you get them 50% off any day. I don't know if you also get the 5th coffee free.

PSA: if you are buying coffee because you are too tired to drive, take a 20-minute nap instead. Your kidneys/adrenals would seriously love you.

Free barista made drink when purchased using BPme pre-order. Includes all coffee's, iced and shakes range, any size or extras such as syrup, soy milk, almond milk, lactose free milk or extra shots.

Offer available to first-time users of BPme pre-order only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Offer not redeemable for cash or other products, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer is once-off, and limited to one free product per person. Participating stores only. Free Frist Coffee

Makes me think of a certain Nine Inch Nails track.

  • No minimum purchase? Thanks

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the app has no 'search' function for choosing your location, as far as I can see.

The app defaulted to locations 320km away. And you need to manually load more pages, a few at a time, all of which are 200 km away.

Finds my location fine in the other store locator section. But you can't order from there. Boo.

      Same issue, so dumb

    • I just installed, and it says the stores on the first page are the closest one with preorder. 157k for me and my closest BP is 10k away, but I guess it doesn't have preorder

      • That's what I thought too, but in the store locator section there is a BPMe enabled location nearby.

    • What happens if you click ‘refresh location’? My list is ordered by distance.

      • Tried it, no change unfortunately

        • Double check that you have allowed it to access locations and your location service is on? The app has been around for a while, unlikely to still have this kind of issues.

          • @Alley Cat: Yes all on from the get go

            • @Dealr: Next time you create a character on this planet, don’t put your points in stamina, agility or intelligence, max out luck 🍀

    • Just downloaded Android app.
      Enabled Locations.
Store Finder went straight to map of nearest BPme enabled sites a few k away👍

    Coffee's

Why is basic apostrophe use so difficult for so many people?

    • +2

Yeah I know. I'm a grammar nazi too.

But really, this is OzBargain. People post, out of the goodness of their hearts, to share ways to save money. We don't need to castigate them for minor slip-ups.

    • lol that’s a direct copy and paste from bp by the mod.

      • -1

Yeah, that's my point. I'm not having a go at OP or the mod. I'm having a go at BP; a large company that pays a marketing team.

When I was growing up, my then quite old English teacher taught us the word coffee was not a countable noun, it’s modified by the quantifier, which is usually ‘cups’ when used in this context. The copy writer must be quite old school to follow this rule, hence the apostrophe.

  • How about Hot Chocolate - is that included?

  • Im guessing not in SA as here they are mostly operated by OTR and now i beleive transitioning to Xconvenience.

    • Xconvenience? What a name lol My mind went elsewhere with servos, then long-distance truck drivers…

    • OTR have never really been part of the BPme infrastructure as they had their own app. With Viva now owning them….fat chance.

X Convenience is in the process of switching from Mobil to BP fuels as part of the acquisition that BP Australia undertook. Imagine these outlets are not yet part of it.

  • Free fisting… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    Barista-made

Is the barista the same guy that takes payments, opens and locks the toilets, etc.?

    • I most enjoy the Hungry Jacks bare bone straw that the person hands you after going through the cash draw, and who knows what else.

At least McDonalds straw is wrapped. Tangent.

      • is the bone straw a promo?

      • +1

Raw dogging a straw is the least of your worries eating fast food lol.

      • Good thing the Hungry Jacks lids double as sippy cups lol.

        • Next time watch and see if the hungry jacks worker touches the mouth part on the sippy cup when placing the lid.

          • @eeeee: Funniest thing was these were introduced during COVID to eliminate straws.

how do they know you're a first time user?

    • If you try ordering it in the app, it would show as $x.y0 at the check out then free. That’s when you know.

“Barista made” - you mean the 15 year old they put through a one day coffee making course? That term has lost all meaning now.

    • +1

It means they didn’t just press the latte button on a machine.

    • +1

i doubt they do a full day course

  • PSA: if you are buying coffee because you are too tired to drive, take a 20-minute nap instead. Your kidneys/adrenals would seriously love you.

This is good advice in theory but curious if anybody actually practices it? It would take a very specific set of circumstances for me to actually be able to nap in the drivers seat.

    • If you aren't tired enough to fall asleep in the driver's seat, you might not be tired, but hungry/low blood sugar/pressure or bored. When I did long drives across states, my yawning starts about 2 hours in, then I had to stop to do something else, usually eating a fruit or play some games. But after three breaks or so, I would want a nap.

      • If you aren't tired enough to fall asleep in the driver's seat, you might not be tired

        Lol no

  • Used this a year ago. The receipt at shop shows up as $0 paid, so they tried to ask for payment. Happened at 2 different locations. The receipt they see isn’t very clear.

  • You know despite its flaws this is a great app for parents for one reason - you can pay for fuel without leaving the vehicle unattended

    • Never thought of that, parenting really is a full-time job. Most fuel apps allow you to do that now btw. Ampol has it, 7-11 has started too.
