I guess this is a novel way to damage your business.

    • +3

      it's not a good deal?

  • +13

My folks had an absolutely awful experience with this company, terrible customer service, guess it's pretty obvious now why. Be careful who you let install stuff on your property.

    • More info please?

      • +1

I'm sorry I won't give further details. Any specifics would make it obvious to the business who they are, and I don't want the business phoning them for any reason, they're too old to deal with bs. Again I'm sorry I can't go into detail, and I get why anyone might disregard my original post for that reason.

        • -6

Are you 100% sure it was us?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that, and confused too, What happened?

      $10 Bucks says it did happen… 🤣

      • $200 Dogecoin straight into Quantico's wallet if he can provide me with the names and story of this awful experience that I am either unaware of or has totally slipped my mind.

        • +2

          has totally slipped my mind.

You just incriminated yourself, or your arrogance has actually made you stupid. Correct response I will offer full of recompense to your parents for any errors made by my company, not some stupid (profanity) MLM offer.

          • @dingbated: I truly cannot recall this happening, but also I am open to the possibility that it did?
The best I can do is offer a full take down of the existing system we put up, and replace it with this deal for free. I'd do that to make them happy.

          • +1

@dingbated: Your comprehension isn't strong. They're offering a bounty to a third party who has made a - up to this point unsubstantiated - claim against the business if they identify the aggrieved, they're not shirking responsibility or trying to avoid liability.

        • I am either unaware of or has totally slipped my mind.

          Standard MAGA response.
You got concepts of a plan yet?

          • @Lord Fart Bucket: offer a full take down of the existing system we put up, and replace it with this deal for free. I'd do that to make them happy

This is the 8th post in the last 2 months. It's getting a bit spammy now.

    • +6

The whole thing is just weird

    • As per above spammy

  • +9

Trump is against renewable energy because it makes china rich, leaves waste, harms animals, and doesn't work in bad weather.

These posts are just spam now.

  • +1

Perhaps this needs a useless welcome to a distant country ceremony. That no one would bother to attend.

  • +1

Either a joke post or this is dodgy.

We will simply just make the money back in a few months time.

This is assuming the value goes up, and they stand to make a possibly large profit. I don’t like that^. Or it goes down or not up, and they make a lot of losses, and write those off as a business loss for tax reasons. I’m no expert but this ain’t how businesses should operate in my opinion. Was going to neg but given the below I’ll leave it as is.

^ But I guess it’s like paying in any currency or crypto. Doge is just one. And if it goes up, it’s a win win, customer gets cheap solar.

Believe it or not, the funniest thing here is thinking a 20 cent AliExpress cap is worth $25

    • -1

I've sold them for $35, so what does that mean?

      • +3

It means you're making money off idiots. That I approve.

        • -1

20 cents you say? Mind sharing a link?

          • @Mike Nolan: I'm not putting American politics into my algorithm more than I have to, but this is the first thing that came up when I searched "maga hat AliExpress", two pack for 4 bucks.

@TheDukeOfNukem: I don’t want one, I was just calling you out on your ludicrous claim. That’s not even the same hat and yet it’s still ten times more expensive than what you alleged.

            • @TheDukeOfNukem: users here froth over the chance to wear a discounted brand name shirt/shoes/bag…don't see the difference.

  • +11

This might be the dumbest thing ive ever seen on here, congrats

    • -2

      not a good deal?

  • I'm curious, genuinely, what type of paperwork you'd get from this. Like what does the receipt look like, Danny boi? If paid in crypto, the only real benefit that's obvious for you, is trying to keep a few grand off the books. Like let's say you had 15 extra systems and were trying to flog them cash in hand (or crypto in hand in this case), that I get, but what does the end situation look like for the customer? If there was an issue (not that I expect there to be, tbh) what's to stop you saying you never provided any service, since there'd presumedly be no paper trail?

If you were doing all this above board though, then that begs the question of why don't you just take the 2k and buy doggie coins yourself?

    • -1

I guess I'd just write a receipt that xx amount of Dogecoin purchased the system?

the only real benefit that's obvious for you, is trying to keep a few grand off the books. - Nah you have to tell ATO this type of thing these days, as it's all shared data and you'd be audited. But the benefit is the Dogecoin would already be in my wallet, I'd not lose any fees moving it in there, and the growth of it.

Yeah, just call or email, and I'd sort it, as I've done with everyone for 11 years now.

what's to stop you saying you never provided any service, since there'd presumedly be no paper trail? my morals and reputation.

If you were doing all this above board though, then that begs the question of why don't you just take the 2k and buy doggie coins yourself?

I am leveraging from the whole buzz of 'crypto' being a thing, and helping it, I guess.

    • -2

It's essentially a barter deal aka contra deal, and whilst not super common or familiar to the masses it's absolutely legal and dealt with like an ordinary monetary transaction (and subject to taxation). People are just losing their minds here because hurr durr Elon / Trump.

  • +1

Had considered your many Deals as a potential local customer.
But have hidden your Deals after this.
Seems like a dodgie business to me.
    Bye!

    • oh, I thought it was our best-value deal yet?

  • +1

ATO is gonna slam this guy, cannot wait

    • +3

Will you call them to dob us in for accepting crypto as a payment?

    • +1

Why? It's a barter aka contra deal. No different to any "ordinary" transaction, both parties have the same legal rights & obligations ie taxation.

  • +4

What's the point of this post? Seems like spam with the post intensity/lack of a deal and trying to drop American politics for extra comments/controversy.

Pretty sad as this is a bargain site for Australians….

    • it's not a bargain?

  • +2

    No deal.

  • +3

Stop forcing US politics into OzB, it's not adding any value.

  • +2

    OzAdvertising

  • +2

Accepting payment in the form of a memecoin shitcoin linked to a man-child who will offload on retail at the right time. You've really destroyed your rep on OzBargain.

    • -2

Going back and negging OPs previous deals. Wow, Trump and Elon really got you triggered huh 😂

      • +1

Another deal awash with invalid negs & the mods look the other way. This place is as bad as reddit with DVing because hurt feelings…someone ought to post a deal on Anusol & Kleenex.

  • Hahaha… grow up. Get some new material. This is a flogged dead horse.

Doge coin as a payment? Yeah nah, that cant be legit. You know the ATO are still going to tax you on the value of your Doge coin at time of sale, even if it collapses and is worth nothing, as it will in due time, you are still going to have to pay tax on the sale amount. And I am praying for it to fall in a heap.

    • value of your Doge coin at time of sale - $2000

    • +1

Crypto payments aren't legit? You can literally pay anyone with a BPAY biller code with crypto…

Not sure why you're so jaded this business offers different options, assumedly it's political or ideological bias.

      • -1

It’s not legit because I could buy some crypto to pay for this and it’s $2,000 when I bought it, but could be $1,500 when I transfer it or it could be $2,500, it could be $0. And who sets the exchange rate at time of payment? The business? The exchange? The payer? It isn’t legit because there is no value in the Doge coins mentioned… what it should say is “$2,000 or Ðoge3,057.21” or just simply say “Ðoge3,057.21” instead of this “$2,000in Dogecoin”.

At no point did I suggest that crypto was in an of itself not legit, just the way it is being used in this post. I am quite aware of the the legitimate uses of crypto, as I use it quite a bit to buy items out of the US, but I am NEVER quoted in US$$ if they want payment in BTC, it is ALWAYS quotes in how many BTC they want.

And why do I have to be “jaded”, does it help you sleep at night to imagine people that don’t agree with you as “jaded”?

I don’t care for OP’s ideology nor do I care, or not care for that matter, for any one particular political leaning or candidate. What I am tired of is people using troll bait as a basis for marketing like it’s a clever marketing stunt. It’s (fropanity) childish.

The only one that sounds “jaded” is the person going around screaming at everyone that “crypto” is a legit payment method like we GAF.

        • -1

Ever bought petrol? The price of that fluctuates constantly, often as a result of movements in currency markets. It's no different, and that's just a single obvious example. Saying there is no value is laughable, there is no value in any non-fiat backed crypto asset, even if it's backed or matched with a more mainstream crypto asset. Your BTC has no intrinsic value whatsoever, it's simply the most widely traded & accepted digital currency, but unlike real money it's not even a promissory note, just an "asset".

You're clearly jaded because you're hoping praying for someone's financial downfall…why? They offer a non-traditional payment method in niche crypto? Because Trump & Elon talk a lot of shit & that hurt your feelings? Seems awfully personal for something that doesn't affect you at all.

          • @Ham Dragon: You truly are the Elon to Coffee-King's Trump.

            You're clearly jaded

And what a load of gaslighting bullshit. The only one that is "jaded" here, is the guy doing all the mouthpiece work for a store rep like it personally offends them. Maybe you need to hit the "associated" tag at the bottom of your replies.

Because Trump & Elon talk a lot of shit & that hurt your feelings?

Imagine your whole personality is to get on the offensive over anything even remotely Trump/Elon related and making it all about Trump and/or Elon, even when it isnt. MAGAts have the thinnest skin.

Again, and I'll say it slowly this time… this isnt about politics OR crypto. It's about the monotony of if and the flogging of a dead horse. It was funny the first 2 or 3 times watching the left AND the right froth at the bung, but now it's just pathetic and well past its used by date. It's like that cringe kid at school who said one funny thing and everyone laughed but now that is all they say because they still think people are laughing. They arent. And it isnt that people have a problem with what they are saying… just the fact they are saying it over and over and over… This has no more ongoing novelty than a scratched record.

Outrage marketing seldom works long term.

            Ever bought petrol?

And this is not even remotely the same as "buying petrol", as the price of petrol is measured out in the currency you have to pay in. It isnt measured out in $AUD dollars and then you are expected to pay in the equivalent of Venezuelan bananas. This is literally the stupidest analogy you could have put forward.

Your BTC has no intrinsic value whatsoever

Oh, yeah, sorry, my bad, I forgot that BTC is worthless and that Doge is priceless because of all the Elon simps. Christ, you need to get off the Musk flavoured Kool-Aid. I just hope all these people I have been paying in BTC dont find out that it has "no value whatsoever".

But again, for the hard of reading… I never get sent an invoice in one form of currency and get told I need to pay for it in a totally different form. I am never quoted USD$ prices and told to pay the "equivalent" in BTC. Much like a "petrol station", I go there and see AUD$ prices and I know when I go inside to pay, I'll be paying the currency I see and I'm not going to have to check the spot markets on Colombian coffee beans because they only want to be paid the AUD equivalent in Colombian coffee beans…

            • @pegaxs: I have already stated, the customer would pay from their Dogecoin wallet to mine… We would obviously come to an agreement of the exact amount of DOGE which is very near the $2000 mark, as it fluctuates every 5 seconds.

Can you see this is an exciting way of getting people talking about Crypto and Dogecoin? Surely, you can see that I'm at least trying to provide some type of value here?
