amaysim Renewal Offer on First Day of 12-Month Plan

So I got an amaysim 140GB $195 12-month plan recently ($149 in-store at Woolies) and activated it yesterday. All went well (other than the known voicemail issue that got solved by a reset from their end).

On that same evening, I received an offer from amaysim as follows:

Enjoy $48.75 off your next renewal of your plan for your mobile no. XXXX. Plus, enjoy a massive 50GB bonus data when you accept this offer!
That's a huge saving of $48.75.
Please note: This offer will replace any existing promotion and switch auto-renew to 'on'.

I know there would be similar offers particularly for those that are approaching the end of their prepaid period, but I'm literally 12 months away from my next renewal. The offer itself is not a bad deal since that plan / recharge does not technically exist anymore.

Thoughts?

Just accept the offer but port-out this time next year if you can find a better deal

It's just an incentive to setup auto renew but you are not bound to renew next year. You can still port out if U find a better deal

  • Hi similar question, i am currently on 140gb 365 days plan, started feb 2024 so will expire in 50 ish day.

I bought mine $125 on special, full price $165 i think. The plan no longer exists.

I have auto renewal set to off.
If im luck to get amaysim renewal offer, how much it would be? Can i expect $85ish? And when usually they will send the offer? 2 days before current plan ends?

Otherwise i am considering to get catch or kogan this week.
    Thanks

I was on a $200 180GB 365d and received an offer: 50% off ($100) for another year. I would have gone for this… except it came via email on 16-Dec, 8 days after my expiry date by which time I had already ported out to Catch. Might be worth contacting Amaysim to see if they're interested in keeping you?

      • @sumyungguy had chat with amays they said just turn on the marketing which i have done
but if they send the offer after exp date then its pointless marketing imho
