Excellent value. I was able to successfully price beat at ow for $3799 + 1% surcharge for all payments except BPAY.

Sure does. That is for 5k though. This is comparable to m4 pro with additional RAM in terms of price but far superior in performance
Typo, I meant m4 pro Mac. You may be right. I’ve heard the cooling can be an issue on the 14” m3 pro with its single fan.
You can get the 14" M4 Max 14C CPU / 32C GPU + 36GB RAM + 1TB SSD for $4,367 (see: https://www.apple.com/au_edu_5000447/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pr…).
At $3799, I would say this is a reasonable deal, at $3999, I would strongly suggest the M4 Max, you'll make back the difference (if not more) if you ever end up selling it later on.
I agree, I've been waiting on further price drops on the m3 max. Doesn't seem like a great deal compared to just buying through the education store.
Where did you the M4 Max with 14 CPU and 30 GPU version? I could only find the M4 Max with 14 CPU and 32 GPU version at the apple website. Can you send me link of this particular model?
Sorry, my bad. I missed the part M3, not M4.
I don’t think you can price match with OW as well as the product on their website is already on ‘clearance’. AFAIK, clearance items cannot be priced match
Considering the intended use is likely to be more demanding than a MacBook Air for example and the price is around $4K a 1TB SSD seems on the small side.
It’s a good price, but i suspect the m4 pro max outperform it.
