Hello, have been out of game for a very long time regarding Pokemon cards. Can someone explain what usually comes in a 'blister pack'?

For the tin, how do I tell if these are the original Pokemon set?

Looking at the product, it's just 2 regular booster packs. So 10 cards in each.
      1 x Scarlet & Violet
      1 x Scarlet & Violet - Paldea Evolved
And the eraser (Lechonk or Smoliv)

Although that may vary, just going on the images on the product listing.

What do you mean by 'original Pokemon set'? These are modern packs featuring mostly new pokemon from the new games.

If you're talking about the Pokemon 151 set from last year featuring only the original pokemon, it's not that. Those packs are very in demand and are sold at a premium.

      • Yes that's what I meant, the original 151 sets. Do they re-release those or that was just a special run?

        • Theres still stock hitting shelves but scalpers grab them as soon as they land. Some places you can find them but its only if you ask for it.
Theres a 151 reprint coming Feb 2025 and hopefully it screws the scalpers over.

~$5 is about standard for these packs.

But the rubbers are actually pretty good, I dunno about them as rubbers but they work great as toys.

Signing up to JB Perks (for free) gets you a $10 voucher. Makes these very cheap if you can C&C. $2.40 a pack if you get 2 (which seems to be the limit).

Blister pack is a pack of 2 or 3. I thought this was a buy one get one free. You get 2 booster packs not 2 blister packs.

    • Sorry, I had that in the tile but not the description. Have updated now.

      • why did you make it booster blister pack?

        • It's literally what it says on the JB Hi-Fi Website? - "Pokemon Trading Card Game - Eraser & 2 Blister Booster." Not sure what you mean?

    • Wrong. Individual packs are also labelled as blisters in certain circumstances.

      eg https://www.target.com.au/p/pokemon-tcg-scarlet-violet-twili…

      • That's because this is also in a blister pack. You take the outside off and it has a booster pack inside. You don't get this type of blister pack inside this product so they are not called blister packs. Literally no one calls a booster pack a blister pack. It's very confusing. I forgot they called these blister packs but yeah they aren't the same as a booster pack.

You said blister pack is a pack of 2 or 3 which is incorrect. Deal with it.
