All-time-low according to Camel^3
I have been tracking these Nanoleaf bulbs with Matter to add to my HomeKit (+Thread) environment.
There aren't many 9W smart bulbs putting out >800lm. It was either LIFX or Nanoleaf.
Learning from last time, the trick to ensure smooth initiation and HomeKit adoption using Thread is:
1. First, adopt the bulbs in HomeKit. The bulbs will be on Matter via Thread protocol.
2. (Optional) Then, add the bulbs in the Nanoleaf app.
These bad boys caught a bad rep in the early days because of some misleading marketing at the time when the Matter over Thread situation was still hot off the press. Nanoleaf built them to run on Thread.
New firmware 4.1.0 added Nanoleaf's proprietary Litewave protocol to allow Thread and Bluetooth mix-use. (https://helpdesk.nanoleaf.me/en-US/nanoleaf-essentials-(matter-over-thread)-release-notes-255125)
Note* if you are building a smart home ecosystem on Thread:
These bulbs can only be a thread router extender, they are not thread border routers. Nanoleaf devices can form their own Thread mesh network.
