Hope to see these sort of prices more regularly now.

  • "Provides enhanced protection for vehicles using E10, E85 and LPG fuels"

    How but?

  • How do you get the 20% off for new members? I registered a new one but nothing pops up

    • Got the code 20 mins after sign up but still can't use it, looks like it's for RRP stock only which is non sense

    • Rev up your savings with exclusive member pricing on SELECTED products when you shop.

Already discount items are UN-likely to get further discount, eg this deal.

Man I love ozbargain! Thanks OP. I’ll pay with 5% cb autobarn gift cards = $28.50. Great deal.

    • Is this oil compatible with an 1989 JDM?

      • Not commonly, but it is with my wife’s ASX

  • Can't order. Error: "Looks like our services are currently offline". Anyone else?

    • Yep, from Saturday to even now. Unreal.

  • If I am not wrong this BF deal ends 1st December and is the cheapest Full Synthetic 5w-30 5L I have ever seen for the pass year, actually I can't remember when it was ever under $30.

  • Yes, price boomed after covid, but seem to have come down a bit.

This oil is packaged for Autobarn by Nulon. Its the same oil as Nulon Long Life. But the packaging doesnt have the manufacturers approval codes on it like the Long Life does, as to print them on the container Nulon has to pay the owner of that code a fee. So they pass on the saving here!

If your vehicle is still under warranty check whether warranty on engine only applies if oils used are approved by the manufacturer. If it does, then grab an empty Long Life container off a mate so you can prove you used an approved oil!

    • Are you referring to Apex+?

      • +1

Yes, Nulon Apex+ 5w-30 Long Life.

        • Thanks for the explanation, that's good to know!

Interestingly, when I enter my car into their product finder, it doesn't show the Fusion as compatible, but it does show the Apex+ as being compatible. I wonder why that's the case?

For an oil to show up as compatible with your vehicle the oil must-

    1) Be tested to show it complies with the manufacturers standard

    AND

    2) The oil company must pay all the vehicle companies it wishes the oil to be compatable with- a fee, for every container of oil sold, allowing them to write on the container that the oil meets each of the manufacturers standard.

Fusion has only been tested to comply but no fees have been paid. So Nulon cannot say it is compliant, even though it is.

Yes this is bullshit, but its the world we live in. Everyone wants a cut.
