Don't get the Derek Cardigans. The quality is horrible, even for something that's free.

I've been a first time customer here before, so has my Mum and Dad. And I think my brother is due for his first pair now aswell. Lucky we all have the same prescription.

the frames are terrible in quality, they fked up my lenses and had to get them re-done in china. (my choice as i visit china and its cheaper) I have never bought some only got some during the complete free promotion they once had

    • Will update this now,

      Cheers :)

Have bought a number of glasses from these guys…. usually I consider them to be great for 'backup' glasses, but the most recent couple of pairs have been great. Just as good as the ones I used to get from the likes of OPSM, well finished, and a fraction of the price. My daughter got her first pair of glasses the other day - the ones at the optometrist cost $220 after claiming my 'extras' from Medibank Private. Just got a second 'backup' pair then, and - with thin lens upgrades, coatings, etc - it still cost under $43 delivered. Given that I can send them back if not happy, and also given that there is a chance (not guaranteed, but worth a shot) that I may be able to claim these from my extras cover as well - well, it's a no-brainer.

Even free at clearly contacts works out more expensive than other online stores now. Once you add in the UV protection, anti reflective coating ect that others include in the price.

Transitions lenses (and similar) are heaps cheaper on the other sites. Photocromatic single vision lenses cost me +$19 at zenni and uv, scratch and anti reflective coatings are free.
@clearlycontacts photocromatic is +$79 and the lens coatings are +$20.

Just ordered a pair for emergency spares - no coatings and the basic lenses - charged only for postage, so $12.99 delivered.

  • Just remember that Clearly Contacts are NOT registered with all health funds in Australia so might not be able to claim anything back.
