After no reply to my email after 24 hours, I called them. They had left out a letter from my second code, and tacked another letter on at the end.
They found the original docket (after a call back ~ 10 minutes later) and it was sorted.
Apparently all of Queensland's orders (1,000+) went to a single HN franchise, when they were only expecting local orders. They had to manually do them and a few errors crept in.
I got an invalid (15 digit instead of 16) code as well. Guy I called said they were swamped.
Got my two codes as well. Had planned to use as gift, but my email says if I request physical cards they are invalid and I'd still need to use these codes - plus unlikely to arrive on time for Xmas. Unless I missed it in the fine print, my order (including the receipt) says I'm being posted two cards.
To make matters worse, I shot of a little complaint, but picked the bloody "compliment" field by mistake :P
got my $20 card and $20 printed code. card doesn't work. didn't get any email about invalided code :/
No email here, which would actually be helpful as I've had to go elsewhere before the cards came.

I received mine in today's mail, no cards just vouchers with the pin & another voucher to receive staff pricing storewide at the nunawading store this Friday, how much is staff pricing?
I received mine today and they came in cards with an attached print receipt from Nunawading store.
Just got my delivery. Envelope with thermal paper print outs. Not good enough HN. These were going to my Nephew for Christmas. He's not going to like his uncle that gave him some receipt :S
I understand they're the same value, but if you're selling gift 'cards' send bloody gift cards, not thermal receipts!

Got my cruddy paper receipt codes today in the mail, along with a "letter" which had obviously been pasted from elsewhere into Notepad (complete with "New Text Document.txt" along the top), which invited me to "reply to this email" to receive the plastic cards.
Well I've looked all over the piece of paper and I can't see the Reply button anywhere!
Plus, as others are mentioned, the plastic cards aren't going to match the codes anyway.
What a complete debacle. I don't expect much from Hardly Normal, but this is a new low.
To their credit, they answered my complaint email very promptly and politely :-)

I no longer have access to the email account (haven't for years) linked with my PayPal account, so I'm hoping they haven't sent the codes to that email address. Will give them a call on Thursday to complain.

So I suggest everyone check their codes are valid sooner, rather than later
