Quest Inflatable Air Tent V2: Air 4 $299, Air 8 $499, Air 12 $699 + Delivery ($0 to QLD, NSW, ACT, MEL) @ Quest Outdoors

90

I've been eyeing off the Zempire Aerospeed/ Air tents for a while now and came across Quest, an Australian-owned and based company (QLD).

Their tents are a lot cheaper than Zempire and appear to be pretty similar. They've been very responsive to any questions I've had via email, so if any issues I'm sure it would be resolved very quickly.

Quest have some cracker deals on their air tents at the moment as per below:

Air 4 Inflatable Tent V2 - $299
Air 8 Inflatable Tent V2 - $499
Air 12 Inflatable Tent V2 - $699 (OOS)

Reviews appear positive, and a quick search on Youtube has walkthroughs and setup of each tent. 24 month warranty included

Postage is free to select areas, SA appears to be $20 for delivery.

Happy camping!

Bought the air 12 last month for the same price. They've been this low for a while now

    • Any feedback? Have you tested it yet ?

Not too bad, surprisingly light for its size they mention 21kg when most others are around 30kg. Takes up half of the boot of an atto 3.

Fly is on the thin side only 70d, have yet to see how durable it is in the long run.

You can feel the price on the tent floor, feels like cheap tarp. Not as nice as say the Coleman northstar (which feels more like a rubbery cloth).

Another option would be Dwight enterprise 3, it was for sale for $1k but not sure if they're ever restocking aus website.

        • Thanks mate - it mentions fly isn’t attached on first setup. Was it easy enough to setup - after that I presume you can leave it attached when packing up?

          • @punkel: I tried folding it with the fly but it got too fat for the bag. I think with better folding it'll fit, it was my first time packing it up so I separated them

            • @krisspy: awesome! re the tent floor, you can purchase a separate floor saver which is like a material floor for your tent. worth looking into :) could also probably just use any type of rug/mat too…

  • hmmm these look pretty similar to the zempire prontos. Very tempting for the price but I've been set on the zempire evo's…. ahhh

    • 4 x the price

    • Just go for the Zempire Pronto 4 instead, I got the Pronto 10 and its a beautiful tent.

      • Pretty much the same as the quest air 8. The pronto 10 is actually heavier and has less internal sleeping space

      • I mainly want the Evo TS for the awning area with the walls which the Pronto and this don't have. It's not much but it's enough to save me lugging along a gazebo or a tarp when it's just us.

        • But you also have to pay another $200~ for an awning wall. Zempire do charge an arm and leg for their setups.

          • @bruc3: Talking about the space out the front of the sleeping area where awnings traditionally sit, don't need to buy the set to use that.

The set to fully enclose and extend the area certainly would be nice though

      • I got the pronto 10 as well, unfortunately had a leak in the inner tube on our first night using it. Zempire were easy to deal with to get a new tent within a few days. I actually took the tent apart and repaired the pvc/plastic inner tube of the old tent (finding the leak was annoying) and surprised how fragile it is.

Otherwise the new tent is excellent and has been used a few times since.

  • Air 12 OOS

  • Didn't know that Melbourne is a state now 😁

  • Thanks, OP! I finally pulled the trigger on this brand. I waited too long for the Pronto 10 to be back in stock, but once it was back online, they raised the price.

    • Today I found the last Pronto 10 (it’s now discontinued so very little stock) at Macpac Adelaide. Was on clearance for $695 and they had an extra 20% off. So it was $556. Then I stacked with 15% Coles gift cards currently on sale. Came down to $478 :)

      • Ah, at that price, it’s a steal! It came back in stock a few days ago on the Zempire website, but the new RRP is $1299. If they had kept the original RRP, I’d consider it.

      • Is it actually superior to air 8 from Quest outdoors? If yes then how so?
Cause on paper it looks worse

        • Better quality materials. Check materials

          Pronto 10
          fly 150D
          inner 75D

          Air 8
          fly 75D
          inner 68D

From what I’ve read the floor is better quality on the Pronto too - some comments re poor floor quality on social media for the Air 8

          • @punkel: I mean, the above comment re the pole being punctured isn't exactly confidence inspiring either.

And the fly doesn't go all the way down for whatever reason only known to them.

Basically I'm just trying to figure out if I'll miss out on much by choosing this over the zempire.

Currently i have an outdoor connection weekender that didn't survived the strong winds on our last trip, the thickness of the fly seemed irrelevant.
The Coleman fast frame next to us lasted even less.

That's why I'm looking at an air tent.
