Wireless Display in 2024 - Wanting to Support Open Standards at a Low Budget VS Succumbing to MS Wireless Display (Office)

Hey wondering what the best option is for a quick and easy wireless display. Is a RPi4 receives streams readily an option? Or have other sticks like Chromecast come a way?

I hate miracast cos it's a closed standard and has some security concerns - but I can't argue that it does work pretty well.

    Sunshine/Moonlight.

    Miracast doesn't really have any security concerns, there was a novel attack someone created years ago in a network environment but it's not a problem these days.

      well I mean security in terms of within the network. People can just cast to a TV without authentication and replace whatever is already on there

        The TVs I've used require you to accept incoming connections with the remote the first time.

          From each MAC address? Or by saving a fingerprint?
