Anko 30L Storage Tub $3.50 C&C / in-Store Only @ Target

650

I don't know how sturdy they are compared to other brands but seems to be quite a cheap price for 30L tubs.
There are also 15L for same price: https://www.target.com.au/p/storage-tub-15l-anko/68996031

    Thanks Target!

  • Thanks, got 6 from nearby (regional)

  • Not sturdy at all. I bought some to move and they all broke either on the wheels, the clips or the walls and base

    • They're definitely not moving boxes! Even full price they're only $5. Perfect for sorting linen closet and wardrobes though.

    In Perth
Closest store with stock is… Alice springs😅

  • They are really flimsy. Don't be disappointed if you can't find stock.

  • Is this big enough for a human head? Asking for a friend.

    • Yes. Would fit 2 hands as well.

They're not very strong but they work well for organising indoors. I keep various hobby stuff in them and have them stacked 4 high with no issues.
Only had 1 handle come off of the dozen or so I have. They did change the design slightly at some point though so some of the boxes I have don't stack together properly.

  • Have you tried the milk crates lying around the street?

Yep they don't fit inside the 30L size tub

  • Any good for outdoor storage?

Edit: never mind. Closest store with availability is Taree

      No, not at all

Not super strong but I have had a few that survived a move from VIC to QLD in a moving truck 4 years ago and i've still got them. I store stuff in my garage in them, everything from clothes to seasonal decor to extra tools.

I bought a whole bunch of the 52L versions from Kmart not too long ago for a move at $4/each clearance price. They definitely punch above their price point imo. Nothing super, but they didn't instantly crack being loaded or wheeled around, and have a cheapie version of that Sistema "flip top" feature where the lid stays attached to the other clip.

  • Anyone remember those made in Australia 52L Starmaid tubs that BigW used to have? Now those were the Rolls Royces of storage containers.

  • These are weak as piss, I wouldn't buy them personally unless it was just for long term very rarely touched storage.

I've got a garage full of them, the 30l and 60l and they work well. It's not a toolbox, and they are not designed for heavy duty use, but for regular storage items, clothes, linen, knick knacks etc they are the best value storage you can buy.

      • Yeah that's what I'm getting at, good for storing light duty things, or something in the shed you're not going to touch for a while but accidentally drop something heavy or kick it and you're putting a hole in it lol.
