iOS - 1Password 4 (Universal App) Introductory Price $8.49 (Regular Price >= $17.99)

50

I've been watching this app for a while, arguably the best (and priciest) password manager app. This is a major upgrade published as a separate app at a 'over 50%' introductory price, so I reckon it's a good time to jump on the bandwagon.

  • what's the different compare with 1Password Pro?

    • This is the new Password Pro (the old one is discontinued).There will not be separate apps for iPhone and iPad any more.

  • Shame they charge $50 for the desktop version. Will stick with Lastpass, thanks.

    • ^^^^This, LastPass is US $12 per year for their Premium version of desktop and mobile app combined.
      I would happily pay double that for the excellent job they do.

      Or it is free for their desktop version in non Premium form (doesn't include App).

      True! But Lastpass for iOS is not as good as 1Password imo. So I'm using Lastpass extension for Chrome on Windows and 1Password on iPhone, until a next sale for the Windows app comes.

      • I went from RoboForm to LastPass and now to 1Password. I still use LastPass on my PC but I much prefer the UI of 1Password so that's what I've gravitated towards.

        • You are right, it does look nice.
          LP have been putting a lot of work into their desktop UI, hopefully they are at work to do more with their app, the last major change was pretty ho hum.

    • I paid $30 for their WIndows desktop version but that was a Thanksgiving sale (with coupon I think) from a couple of years ago

    Personally, I found TapIN easier to use. I've tried both 1Password and TapIN and compared all features. Even though TapIN is an auto login manager (not a full blown password manager) I still preferred buying the pro version to keep all my passwords for websites in the app and have a one click automatic login to my websites. It saves me time every day and I must admit that it was so easy to configure sites - much simpler than the alternatives. That's my personal opinion.
    I recommend trying it out, when comparing to 1Password, LastPass or RoboForm. It is available for iPad only (as far as I know).

    • Thanks a lot for the tip!

      TapIN is awesome.

  • Annoyed that I have to buy the app again but its due to Apple's silly policies about the amount of change an update can have before you have to force people to pay for the 2nd time (its clearly an overhaul, much like Pocket Weather) :/ At least its an introduction sale & now features an inbuilt browser which makes logins a LOT easier than switching between apps back & forth & copying & pasting stuff every 2 seconds. Also the favourites tab is pretty handy for the common sites/info
