I just learnt about the difference too so don't know heaps about them. But what I learnt so far is the Deluxe has bigger capacity (about 1.5 more) also few additional settings like Slushi, Froyo, etc

I've got the deluxe, half of the tub is a good amount for two people. I'm not sure how much extra value the additional settings are really worth. I'm not sure there's a massive difference between say the lite ice cream setting and the gelato setting. I haven't tried any of the drink settings yet.

For the deluxe, the tubs are bigger (probably too much for 1 or 2, we can't finish with 2A2K), there are more settings with the deluxe but one big difference is that you can just spin the top half of the tub so you can do different mix-ins or if you're not eating a lot. You generally don't want to have leftovers as it'll get hard and icy depending on how you make the ice cream
might be good to make your own stuff now a days because of the crap that's in the supermarkets now. At least with this you know what ingrediencies you're putting in.
