Artificial Christmas Tree Recommendations

Does anyone have any good recommendations for artificial Christmas trees?

I’ve been looking at Balsam Hill ($1k is for a tree is out of my budget). Went and looked at Myer and David Jones today and nothing really stood out. Budget is probably around $500.

Thanks in advance!

Use an Aussie Christmas tree this year (a gum tree branch). Look for your artificial tree at a more reasonable price after Christmas.

Can probably pick one up from hard rubbish after Christmas if you're lucky too.

  • Costco mate. Built in LEDs too, really nice looking tree. Check it out.

    • I actually tried Costco today because I had heard good things, but I don’t have a membership and they wouldn’t let us browse (would have been happy to purchase a membership if I did like what they had)

  • No idea at a budget of $500 - I can't imagine spending that much on a fake plastic tree.

We use a pine variety that lives in the garden for the rest of the year.

These are common in kerbside, free groups but I don't imagine they'd meet your expectations of quality.

Can’t go past the Kmart $10 1.82m Columbia Christmas tree

Yes, get one in January when they're on sale.

Aldi has previously done a great 7ft one, comparable to the $300+ ones you get elsewhere - lots of varied tips and a nice shape. I presume it's something they will have out again soon.

    • Yep, their tree is great. Comes in 3 sections, with built in LED

  • Go retro and find an aluminum tree.

  • DIY Festivus pole
    .

  • tinsel on a tree. yeh or nah?
