Slazenger Shirts, Shorts, Socks, Track Pants: $5 - $15 + Free Shipping @ OzSale

2220

Bunch of items under $10. Quality is great on these items. Lasted five years minimum and some were worn weekly. Kind of a British influence where the items are made well. Extra stitching etc. shipping may vary.

Last "binge" was the warehouse sale in 2014. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/129893
Items lasted for ages as mentioned + everything was well made

Quality has changed since 11 years (2014)
I got the socks and looks like they will get holes after wearing a few times

    • Are they crew or the black ones?

  • +2

The $4 socks are absolute crap quality. Very thin and not very comfortable.

  • +8

Nah quality is horrible. Even Kmart is better.

  • i have purchased some Slazenger shirts quality is good order more earlier today and gives free shipping at checkout

  • IM curious. is the 5 pack of socks 5 socks or 5 pairs of socks?

    • +12

      🤦🏻‍♂️

    • +8

Yeah 5 socks suitable only for 5 footed animals

    • +13

Two pairs and an extra for when one sock gets lost in the wash

    • +3

It's five socks plus five spares.

    • They shrink after first wash, so there's one for each toe.

  • -1

I buy the cotton t-shirts, polos and some socks.
For only a few bucks can afford to ditch anything you don't like.

  • I remember Slazebger used to make cricket bats in the 90s… Or may be they were the sponsors?

    • Tennis racquets, tennis shoes, probably cricket bats, pads, helmets maybe?
      Golf balls?

      • +3

Yeah not really the same brand anymore, they basically sold their name and logo sport direct who slap the brand on any old cheap $2 product

        • So SportsDirect buys Slazenger in 2004, and the product was still good as of 2014 (per comments on this post), but the 2024 product is now terrible?

          • @tekisei: Dont really agree that the $1 shirts from 2014 were any good, and I bought several

    • -1

      The Master Blaster.

    • They used to make guns!

Could buy a Slazenger branded .22 rifle.

  • +4

    Bring back the $1 shirts

    • Chance of a "Friday" type special

    • +11

      SportsDirect! Those were the days!

      • +4

i still have a few brand new mint tees and shorts from the 1$ deal like 10 years ago hidden right at the back of my wardrobe.

spent maybe $20…each item literally lasts years in roatation for lounge/gym/bike wear …definently one of my better Ozbargain investments!

now, even with inflation and likely worse quality, a $5 tee seems expensive

        • me too

      • Yes. I still have some of those $5 shirts. A few have worn through but after many wash and spin drys. I cannot tell my wife they are $5 tho or she will bin them

    • Dimmys currently have them!

  • +5

Amazing deal. I still wear slazenger stuff from Final Days Closing down Sale in 2014!

EDIT: Looks like I'm not getting charged shipping? Tested it with a few postcodes 2000, 2600, 3000 all free - I only added in 1 tank top @ $5

    • I think slazenger ones are free. Added different brand and shipping was $9.99

      • Ahh that explains the $9.99 extra charge. I made two different order and charged $9.99 each. Didn't see that while placing order as thought shipping was free and didn't figure out why $9.99 extra.

        • In the cart it groups the free shipping items and the rest with labels showing shipping cost

Reading reviews on productreview.com.au on this company. They have got their share of unhappy customers

    • +3

Ah wish I saw this before ordering.

That being said, product review isn't always right

  • Killer deal. The prices are irresistible and the postage is free. Thanks OP!

  • Looks like the shipping is free. I just placed an order worth 44$ and shipping turned out free. Great find OP

Got some competition grade tennis balls for $3. Good for kids downball I hope.

  • Great find, number of 100% cotton tees and tops for $4-6 with plenty of size options available still.
Shipping was free for me to Melb Metro, total spend ~$40.

    • I dont think they are cotton. If they are drop shipping from Sports Direct or the hut group, the tees are a cotton poly blend

  • Never bought this brand.. size is actual or runs big/small? Please advice

    • +1

My experience is to go with one size higher . T-shirt quality is better than Tommy Hilfiger t shirts

  • Quality has deteriorared since 2014. Shop with caution.

    • Welp didn't see this. I literally have shirts and shorts still in rotation from 2014 (averaging $2.67 per item).

Hope its still ok for occasional sports wear - unexpectedly spent $70 today lol

  • +1

I bought some Tommy Hilfiger tops online recently, a mistake. Timberland is far better quality. Champion reverse weave also better.
As far as Slazenger, cotton is cotton. Cotton tops for $5 are pretty low risk imo. I don't like the synthetic polys.

  • Ty Op bought some cheap gym gear :)

  • Two sets of black muscle shirts black $6.
one listing says medium size only,
While the other has all sizes.

Also bought a bunch of singlets and didn’t see the photo of the back and they’re a bit to gym-centric a style for me ,
not to be too much of a whinger ,
but you can’t cancel your order , even if you just made a payment

At least its not Adidas, I would look like a russian drug dealer ;)

  • Free shipping for me to spent 55 bucks

  • I still have T-shirt from that sale, some brand new unopened :) they fade slightly, but last forever. Best buy ever.
From memory I paid $1 or $2 each.

  • Spent $27 on Slazenger and got free delivery. Thanks OP for the post. Hopefully the tee shirts are okay.

Just be aware, ozsale oversell and end up refunding most of the order.

Happened to me in 2 sales so far, a sports sale and a puma sale.

The puma sale has jerseys, shorts etc for $9 to $12 and even though i ordered first day, the whole order got cancelled.

  • +1

    not free shipping anymore

    • RIP

      • hard times

  • I'm waiting till the 29th almost pulled the trigger

    • +1

fair enough, might as well see how delivery goes.

    • What's happening then

      • +1

when they decide whether to buy or not

        • But this deal expires on 24th…

          • -2

@CodeXD: just put that in randomly. Think Ozsale is moving warehouses, so might be more sales.

            • @Cave Fire: Please do not enter an expiry date if you do not know the expiry date or if you are uncertain of the expiry date.

      • 29th of nov is black friday and I'm broke so need my money to go far depending on the deals…

  • Deal is ongoing, shipping is $9.95. I am monitoring and will remove when no $5 items left.

  • +2

Mine are finally shipped. Appears all items were available :)

    • +1

      Ordered 18th, despatched today

      • Shipped on 26th thru aramex from melb to syd.

  • +1

    Received all mine today.
Great value for just basic pants/shirts for gym/daily stuff

    • +1

I have also received all of mine today. All of the shirts have the strangest shoulder fit I've ever experienced, too long above the shoulder and too short below the shoulder.

Both M and L sizes also balloon out at the chest like crazy, even though the shoulder width is fine.

  • Anyone else having shipping problems with their orders? It seems mine are being delivered by a company called DAI Post which has some of the worst reviews I've ever seen on TrustPilot and ProductReview. I ordered on 17th Nov (delivery to Sydney).

Tracking shows it was dispatched 21 Nov from Westmeadows, and then over the next 4 days went "In Transit" in Melbourne -> Padstow -> Melbourne -> Padstow -> Padstow. Then on 26 Nov shows "Out for Delivery" at 9:09am. Then this morning at 5:38am (28th Nov) it shows "Delivery Attempted" and "Returned to the Final Mile Carrier Facility at Padstow, AU".

I also received a seriously dodgy looking email from DAIPost overnight telling me to call them as they couldn't deliver my parcel. Even Gmail flagged the email as "suspected spam". The website is super dodgy too. Have sent a message to OzSale asking what's going on but heard nothing yet. Anyone have a phone number for OzSale?

    • Sounds like an issue with the address? Double check your order address to see if the street number/name was omitted.

I ordered on 17th, received 24th. No issues. Looks like my order was delivered via starlinks

    • Any luck macfudge? I seem to have the same issue. Still Padstow.

  • Glad these were cheap because the fit on the tshirts is so weird. Guess these will be going straight to an op shop..

  • I ordered on the 17th, still hasn't left Sydney.

  • I received only 1 item from my order and other parcel from same order is still with the courier since last week :|

  • I made an order when the deal was first posted. Came within a week. Loved the shoulder fit as it works well for my body proportions. Made another order for more and I'm getting half the order stuck at Westmeadows for over a week and the other half not even dispatched.

Have contacted Ozsale but no joy just yet. Some of the strangest, inconsistent service I've seen.

  • Ordered on 22nd. Parcels stuck at Westmeadows shortly after order. Nothing moved since.

  • Mine turned up to Brisbane today. Completely forgot I even ordered. Shorts seem decent enough for the price!
