Garage Roller Door Recommendations

Hey, I'm in the process of replacing an existing garage door with a New Roller Door + Automatic Garage Door Opener.

I have contacted a few installers in the local area for quotes and found them to be similar in terms of pricing. Looked all over Google but there doesn't seem to be much discussions between B&D, Steel-Line, and Gliderol in the recent years.

I would like recommendations on what company I should proceed with for the replacement.

I recently got a steel line and it was an epic mistake. Couldn't measure properly, made to incorrect size, motor isnt that quiet.

Compare to Gliderol and B&D on relo properties, Id rank

    B&D 1
    Gliderol 2
    Steel Line 3

    • Thanks for the response. Did you follow up with the installer to rectify the problem? I'm thinking of getting a Merlin Garage Opener

      • They were terrible, wanted us to cop the first cost and pay for the second. It was cheaper for the builder to insert steel to shorten the opening to accommodate it.

Never again. And when it breaks, Ill be sure to take that steel off too 😤

Not the BnD Neo. Looks nice but installers can't fit them and the motors struggle, ours has never run properly and BnD and the installer play each other off. Wish we'd have kept our originals!

    • We're thinking of a RollMasta as Neo wasn't an option for us. Do you think its better?

Not seen those, sorry. Neo was bad because the profile means kinks and bends are easy, its flimsy compared to a stabdard roller door, and you have to use their motor.

  • If you are in Sydney talk to Ryde Garage doors, they recently replaced my old garage door, great service they have been around a long time https://www.rydegaragedoors.com.au/
