I bought one for 100 from Amazon when Instant was going belly up, I use it more as a mini over than a air fryer as such. The main gripe is the timer control, its annoying as hell. If you hold it, it goes ridiculously fast. So you need to tap it to add each minute, but if you don't tap it right, it thinks you held it and goes ridiculously fast.

This is different behavior to the Vortex Mini with a similar touch control. Just to show that all these products are simply badge generics from China with a couple tweaks here and there, and the brands don't actually do much engineering behind it.

      That's what she said

  • We cook roasts in our typical basket one. It looks like you would need to clean all the inside walls afterwards which would be a PITA.
The basket one just needs the basket/holder cleaned - much easier.

    • Agree that’s a major advantage of a basket

      • Although cleaning the ceiling of my Philips xXL is a PITA

        • you'll probly find cleaning around the element in any air fryer's a pita

  • I like these styles far more than the drawer-type, I can do multiple separate layers of food or put it higher or lower, plus it comes with the rotating baskets and attachments.

  • Really like mine, from more efficient small cooking to heating plates before dishing up (door ajar). It’s permanently on the bench.

  • Also the Vortex 5.7L drawer version is $97.30

We went from a basket type to this exact model. We use it frequently and it is more difficult to clean, and the timer is slightly annoying, but overall much better as food doesn’t sit on top of other food in a basket and can have multiple layers. The trays all go into the dishwasher and the door comes off for washing. Only the inside walls need a clean with a cloth just like an oven. Would recommend this 4/5

I love ours - have had it a while now and I feel it cooks better than a basket type - especially with the multiple trays. I find it's also hotter than what a normal "recommended" temp for cooking, so turn it down on temp. Would absolutely buy it again if I needed a replacement.

  • any plastic parts on the inside or all ss ?

The trays are non-stick, the sides and top are what I am guessing is aluminium. It's an excellent air fryer but not stainless steel

You can buy additional trays from aliexpress that fit.

The only criticism is that you can't really cook with both trays at the same time, the food in the bottom isn't exposed to the element and won't crisp up as well.

I don't agree that it's harder to clean than draw type air fryers. Just like a regular oven you only clean the sides when necessary, unlike a draw type that you must clean every time you use them.
